It’s been a super duper lovely week at TJ’s after our long Summer break.
So what happened this week?
We had our usual 10 classes (3 jive and 7 stroll).
We celebrated our lovely Curtis’ birthday (oh to be 28 again) with cupcakes galore - thanks to Mum, Britt 😋
We welcomed Kieth (who we met at Twinwood) to our Tuesday night Jive class.
We welcomed 2 new ladies to the Leatherhead stroll class and we welcomed 3 new ladies to the Brockham stroll class.
The Robbo worked extra hard as our Dawnie’s on her hollibobs so she helped me cover Dawn’s classes (while she’s sunning herself on a beach with a 🍹)
Thank you as always for keeping me organised 😉
Our new merchandise line is more or less up and running - with just a few tweaks to go.
We have secured a new venue for some Peggy Sue’s socials for 2027 (watch this space 🤔)
We also have exciting news (soon to be released) with a well known artist and his new song release.
And to end the week in style we have our first Peggy Sue’s tonight since May (darn that heatwave!) so we are so looking forward to catching up with you all on the dance floor 💃
So all in all it’s been a fantastic week full of dancing, smiles and laughter 😊

Our next Peggy Sue’s dance social is on Friday 11th September at Brockham Village Hall, Middle Street, Brockham, Surrey RH3 7JJ with our Guest DJ, Big Paul, from Splinterwood Radio, on the decks.
7.30pm £7 on the door.

Michelle and I covered Bourne Hall class today and treated them to our latest obsession Coco Na Na to Everything’s Alright by Azteck, DJ Koko and Kurt D. It’s a great tune!

This 32 count beginner dance is choreographed by Alison Johnstone and Joshua Talbot.

The Bourne Hall class absolutely smashed it 😍

You forget just how much brain power teaching dance needs and how tiring it is!

Our first week back and 10 classes to prepare and teach. Little Dawnie’s on her hollibobs so Michelle and I are covering her classes too.

It’s been great seeing everyone this week after our long Summer break and getting our dancing shoes firmly back on.

Last night we welcomed Kieth to our jive class (we met at Twinwood) and it was great to have him join us.

Here’s our first new move of the term. Slightly different footwork to add some individuality to your dancing.

Feet are now up with a cuppa as I prepare for Dawn’s classes tomorrow at Bourne Hall and Brockham.

Fun times, great exercise and good friends.

I can’t remember anything! That’s what nearly everyone said when they came to our Improver’s Jive class last night after our long Summer break.

So we slowly built a nice little routine adding more and more moves. It is really hard for the leads….. having to think one move ahead and get the appropriate hand in the right place at the right time 😳

But it didn’t take long before they were back in the swing of it 💃🕺

Learning to jive isn’t easy…. There’s so much coordination and brain power involved 😉

Practice makes perfect so get out on that dance floor and dance with everyone 😁

It was great to be back to our jive classes last night and see what we could remember after our long Summer hols 😳

The camaraderie in this class is fantastic, the support and the encouragement to each other is wonderful to see 😍
