Sadly due to the proprietor of Banstead Athletic FC passing away,the clubhouse and the football club are closed until further notice.
If you have any fixtures or functions booked,you should have been contacted already this morning.
Please contact [email protected] if you have not.
On behalf of the girls behind the bar,thank you for your support over the last few days.

Hiya everyone,

Sorry to post a negative post but a message to all parents of kids hanging around Preston Rec. We are once again experiencing trespassing,graffiti,damage and abuse from kids breaking in to get onto our football pitch at Banstead athletic football club
Over the last 2 years the damage has got so bad it cost a huge amount of money to fix and at one point we almost lost our FA Ground Grade due to the sheer amount of damage caused. Being a small business still trying to recover from covid times,this has been a huge stepback for us.
They are breaking in through a hole in the fence that they keep causing even after fixed. They then climb up and down a steep mound to get onto the grounds.
Nets are damaged,seats broken and some lovely graffiti is also appearing.They even ripped up metal benches bolted into concrete and threw them onto the pitch.
When asked to leave by staff, the girls are met with a mouthful of abuse,language that I will be blocked from on here if I repeat,threats are often made too. As you can imagine a group of people shouting and swearing at one person is intimidating enough whether they are kids or not.
Today's lovely group are in mostly black tshirts,sportswear,one of the girls wearing a very eyecatching bright pink outfit and they are carrying round a Boombox.
Please can parents have a word. We will call the police,we will also pass any cctv,videos and photos to the police also
Not wanting to start a debate over 'The youth of today', we just want the abuse and damage to stop.Please!
