Open Evening on Wednesday was a huge success with cadets showcasing the wonderful facilities and opportunities that the squadron provides for its cadets. It was great to see so many people coming down to hear what we are all about!!
2434 was excited to welcome them all on Monday and they got off to a fantastic start!

We just wanted to give a huge shout out to The Blakey Brothers for tidying the area around the two Commonwealth War Graves at St Mary's, Church Fenton during the Annual Church Fenton at Christmas churchyard clean up.

This will enable us to place a cross at both headstones during Remembrance season.

The squadron was overjoyed to award so many cadets with so many outstanding achievements. It is truly wonderful to see so many cadets working towards the goals and developing their skills to help themselves progress in the cadet career.
We had badges from blue Radio all the way up to MOl and everything else in between. Well done to all those who have worked so hard and achieved new outstanding awards.

A special mention to WO Weston on receiving his official cadet forces warrant. A great new addition to team 2434!

The first OC challenge night! 🎲

The cadets participated in a life-size game of monopoly; it was inspired by key elements of the cadet experience ranging from squadrons as properties to warrant officer punishments!

It was a fantastic night full of fun and some heated competition. Thank you to the staff for the organisation of the night and the cadets hope for many more to come.

We are exited to invite you to our Squadron Open Evening, where you can see what being a cadet is all about. Come along to meet our cadets and staff, explore our facilities, and experience the atmosphere of the squadron in action for yourself!

Cadets isn't just about the training and activities on the squadron, it's about developing skills that you can use in everyday life. Transferable skills which help build confidence, create friendships and give you the best chance at being successful at whatever you choose to do in the future. Here at 2434 squadron, we don't just help you become a better cadet, we help you become a better person.

Throughout the evening, you'll be able to take part in guided tours, and learn more about the uniform, training, and expectations of cadet life. Our team will also be on hand to talk you through the wide range of opportunities available on and off the squadron - including flying, adventure training, leadership, teamwork, sport, and personal development.

Banner Drill Winners!🏆
2434 had an outstanding performance in banner drill this year going and winning the competition and now representing Central and East Yorkshire at the Inter Wing Competition. Lots of dedication and attention to detail (even down to the perfect foot placements) led them to victory (second year in a row).
Look out for 2434 carrying the wing standard at future events!

A huge congratulations to everyone who participated in Wing Competitions Day. The dedication, teamwork, and effort shown by all was truly outstanding. We competed in a wide range of disciplines including STEM, shooting, archery, foot drill, banner drill, aero-modelling, media, first aid and leadership. A special mention goes to the banner drill team and shooting team for their exceptional performance. Banner team achieved 1st place and earning a place at Regionals later this year and shooting achieving 2nd. An incredible achievement for all involved - well done 2434!
