We had our summer fundraising BBQ on Saturday and enjoyed a tournament, Pimms, way too many sausages and koftas (thank you Des) and tennis players old and new, including one who was really, really new ❤️. We are trying to raise funds for our court resurfacing next month. If you know anyone who would like to contribute or provide sponsorship please get in touch. We'd be interested in partnerships with local businesses especially.

Great fun and a win away at Rufforth this week for our mixed doubles team. Surrounded by campers, agricultural vehicles and the distracting smell of evening BBQs, we edged it against a really lovely team. We're now 4th in the league with a few matches in hand. Come on Tad!

It's been a super hot week for tennis. Our teams were in action but we've only got a photo from one match - the players in the other team photo would have resembled Jack Nicholson in The Witches of Eastwick.
Mens doubles team won 5-3 👏. Des and Lindsey's opponents pulled out due to cramp so they were able to fully hydrate with beers whilst watching Jim and Ian slog it out. Well done guys!
The match not documented by imagery was our mixed doubles team against a very competitive Bubwith. We lost, but more importantly nobody passed out in the 31 degree evening heat on Tuesday. Plus, we made it home for the England game. Stay hydrated on the courts everyone!
