Today I am NOT feeling it.
But I know that the less motivated days are just as (if not more). Important than the motivated days...so here is how I get through them
1) I promise myself the bare minimum,
I aim to reduce the weight and work on the technique, slow it down...usually once I get started, my competitive side comes out
2) I reduce it to stages
I will just do the warm up to get moving, let's just try a set and see how it goes... Soon I'm reaching the end
3) I have someone to keep me accountable
A friend, a coach...whatever you have, use them! Help each other
4) I have a goal I am working towards
I set goals and a timeline. If I don't reach that timeline it's on me
5) I know the difference between 'i need to rest' and I can't be arsed'
Sometimes just getting up is the battle, don't be so hard on yourself. If you NEED that rest take it
6) I have a motivating song I love....it walsys puts me in a better mood
