U12 | The boys had a fantastic evening at Swindon Fire Station with Andy McKinlay (U18s Manager) and his team.

From the moment they arrived, Andy and his crew made the boys feel welcome and went above and beyond to give them an unforgettable experience.

Their enthusiasm, professionalism, patience and passion for what they do, shone through all evening.

Nothing was too much trouble and they took the time to engage with every single boy, making the session both fun and educational.

The boys took part in fitness training, giving them a small taste of the physical demands firefighters face every day and they were put through their paces with a range of activities that highlighted the importance of teamwork - just as firefighters rely on each other every day, and just as the boys do as a football team.

One of the highlights of the evening was learning about how firefighters have to work in dark, smoke-filled environments where visibility is extremely limited.

The boys were shown some of the techniques firefighters use to move safely and communicate with each other in these conditions.

There was plenty of laughter as the boys tried to master the movements themselves - they didn't quite get it right, but they gave it a good go!

After being put through their paces, learning new skills, working together as a team and getting thoroughly cooled off, they left with huge smiles on their faces and memories that will last a long time.

A huge thank you to Andy and his amazing crew for giving up their time to support the boys.

Not only do they do an incredible job serving and protecting the community, but they also took the time to inspire, educate and encourage the next generation.

The U12s were incredibly grateful for the effort they put into making the evening so special.

The boys did the club proud with their attitude, effort and willingness to learn throughout the evening.

We are incredibly proud that our U18s have been named runners-up for the Wiltshire U18s Floodlit League Sportsmanship Award.

This recognition means a great deal to us as it reflects the values we work hard to promote throughout the club. It is a testament to the way our players, coaches, and supporters conduct themselves both on and off the pitch, showing respect to officials, opposition players, and fellow coaches at all times.

Football is about much more than results, and weโ€™re delighted to see our U18sโ€™ commitment to sportsmanship, respect, and fair play acknowledged in this way.

Well done to everyone involved โ€“ you should all be very proud! ๐Ÿ‘โšฝ๐Ÿ’™
