Physique Update.

Here is my current condition, slightly fluffier than anticipated and not exactly what I wanted to look like but I wouldn’t say it’s a step in the wrong direction.

Going into 2022 with a positive attitude and a positive mindset. Keeping consistent & dedicated to keep myself on the right path moving forward.

Nothing is ever going to be perfect but you’ve just gotta keep moving forward, Don’t dwell on things that are out of your control and scrap the excuses.

Time to get Bigger, Stronger, Healthier & Better!

End Of Year Review & Reflection,

Coming into the new year, It’s time to reflect. I am not saying criticise yourself about every single thing you haven’t been able to do or things you have failed to complete or start. Try to think positive, No matter how big or small. A small step forward is still a step forward.

Whether this be in a conversation with someone, written down or just in your own head. I urge you to do so.
Think about:
- What are you most proud of?
- What have you achieved?
- What habits have you picked up on?
- What can you improve coming into next year?
- What do you wish to achieve in the next 12 months?

I think we can all agree the past year hasn’t been what we would’ve liked, wanted or expected. It’s been a rollercoaster of a year to say the least.
However if it has taught me something it’s that discipline is key and you need to continue to do things you may not want to do every single time they need to be done, you also need to be able to adapt your goals to facilitate many different circumstances.

Review, Reflect, Evaluate and resolve to make 2022 your best year yet!!

FOAM ROLLING

What is a foam roller?
A foam roller is a cylinder shaped piece of equipment made of dense foam. Foam rollers aren’t usually too expensive, can come in different sizes and densities (more/less pressure on the muscles)

Benefits of foam rolling:
1. Eases Muscle pain
2. Increases range of motion
3. Temporarily reduces appearance of cellulite
4. Eases tension
5. Helps you relax

Foam rolling is very good to use to help with the above especially if you have muscle tightness or regular exercise.

Try to avoid:
1. Rolling over small joints ( e.g. knees, ankles, elbows etc )
2. If you have a serious injury ( Muscle tear or break)

Pectoral Machine Fly:

1. Start off by selecting your desired weight.
2. Sit in the sit while pressing your back onto the pad with your feet flat on the floor.
3. Grip the handles of the pec deck with a slight bend in your elbows ensuring they are also at chest level.
4. Pull the handles towards your body infront of your chest, while contracting your pectoral muscles.
5. Hold for your desired tempo and slowly return back to starting position.
6. Repeat for as many times as desired while continuously breathing throughout (Exhale when pulling handles towards chest, inhaling as you bring the handles back to the start position).

Battle Ropes:

Battle ropes are a fantastic functional exercise, with many variations & is great for strengthening your arms, shoulders and core.

You can add in lateral or squat movements into the exercise depending on the users fitness level.

1. set the battle rope up with plenty of room in front of you with ropes even on the left & right side.
2. Have a firm grip onto the rope, slightly bend your knees to create a hinge in your body by pushing your hips slightly back ensuring your stance is also wide & firm.
3. You start to create movement with the ropes by rapidly moving your arms up & down while having a slight bend in the elbows creating waves with the ropes.
4. Continue a firm & proper form throughout the exercise as can become very strenuous throughout.
5. Continue the exercise for a desired time of your choice and ability.
