This is the future.

This set of rods features a full carbon build — with no traditional thread work in sight.

Over the last few months, we’ve been trialling a brand-new product: Air Carbon Mesh.

The goal? To completely replace conventional thread wraps with a cleaner, lighter and more advanced carbon finish.

It’s a huge step forward, and something we’ve tried developing behind the scenes for a very long time.

We now have multiple sets out on test, and the early results have been seriously impressive.

I’ll admit, I was initially sceptical as to whether the mesh would stand up to the demands of heavy carp rods — but so far, it has proven to be every bit as strong as traditional thread work, if not stronger.

Alongside that, I’ve spent countless hours refining the application and resin process to get the finish exactly where it needed to be.

I think you’ll agree… it’s now absolutely dialled in.

Check out these super sharp Atrex builds we recently completed for Lance.

Lance has got a real eye for detail and wanted a pop of colour without being over the top.
Shamrock green multi directional thread work over black, with fine line rod numbering worked great, along with subtle inscriptions.

These are now off to catch some big pit carp here on our doorstep in the Cotswold Water Park.
