Free Spirit Hi-‘S’ - Cotswold Style!

We rebuilt these this week for Spencer.

Full strip and clean down, then rebuilt with the NightFall cork, Alps reel seats and the original guides.

The graphics were replaced and finished with the gorgeous blue metallic detailing.

Who loves their Free Spirit Fishing rods?
Check out these E Class we recently rebuilt for Martin.

We stripped the butt sections right back before fitting our new NightFall cork handles, paired with the renovated original reel seats and collars.

We also lengthened the handles specifically to suit Martin’s arm length, giving him a much more comfortable and personalised setup.

A little custom graphic and thread work, along with a full check over of the guides, finished these rods off beautifully.

A great example of how a quality set of rods can be completely refreshed without losing their original character.

It’s been a busy summer at Cotswold Rods! 🎣

In between squeezing in a few well-earned holidays, the workshop has been absolutely flat out.

We’ve had loads of finished rods heading out the door, alongside hundreds of rod-building component parcels making their way to builders all over the UK and beyond.

And there’s plenty more to come…

We’ve got some seriously exciting custom builds on the go at the moment, with a great mix of specs, components and ideas coming together on the benches.

We’re really looking forward to sharing some of them with you — with a packed order book and a show to attend, it looks like we’ve got a very busy few weeks ahead!
