Swindon Storm American Football Team Swindon Storm are Wiltshire's own amateur American Football Club, with teams for ages 13+ (u16s), 16+ (u19), Women (age 16+) and adults (age 18+)

Join Wiltshire's own American Football team! Swindon Storm seniors play in the National League Division 2 South West. We also have a fast growing Under 16 programme for ages 13+. All equipment supplied, no experience needed. We're a friendly club and we pride ourselves on developing brand new players who are local and never played before joining us.

Overall MVP - Aled Heaton - RB
Elusive running display, caused chaos against a strong Wyverns D who just didn't have an answer to him.

Offensive MVP - Alex Barnes - QB
Yet again took control of the game, strong passing display, even stronger on the ground. Alex is sponsored by UppercutsBarbershop Royal Wotton Bassett.

Defensive MVP - Thomas Shelly - LB
Wyverns O just couldn't get the running game started due to Thomas's strong tackling and chasing the ball carrier wherever he was.

Special Teams MVP - Adam Day - P
Adams punting really gave Storm great field advantage, pinning Wyverns back on every drive.

Line MVP - Dan Collier - OL
Another strong performance from the OL, really dominated in the trenches opening up lanes, but since Dans return the OL has become a formidable unit.

Rookie MVP - Connor Thomas - K/DB
Another great kicking display, calm, calculated, but Connors interception under pressure was the catch that sealed the game.

Another incredible performance by all players that made it a tough decision to pick out individual performances. We welcome Cornwall at home in two weeks πŸ’ͺ

MVPs for yesterday against Cornwall πŸ†

Overall - Adam Day (WR/P)
Flipped the field on punt and came up with multiple clutch catches on key downs and bagged a score.

Offence - Alex Barnes (QB)
Showed strong leadership and maturity under centre, threw multiple TD's, and got one on the ground. Alex is sponsored by Royal Wotton Bassett.

Defence - Maciej Pasierb (DB)
Broke up multiple passing attempts, came down strong against the run, and got a pick 6 at a critical time to seize momentum.

Special Teams - Connor Thomas (K)
Converted 5 of 6 extra points on the day and has become Mr Dependable for the team.

Rookie - Ifeanyi Opara (NT)
Displayed power by blocking up the middle and disrupting the OL through all 4 quarters. A consistent and complete performance.

Line - Matt Atkinson (LT)
A strong, dependable, and reliable force who led a great OL unit performance who sprang holes and protected the QB.

This game was incredibly tough to pick from such fantastic performances from all players. The score reflected a total team effort and shows our growth as a squad. Roll on next Sunday for Wyverns home.

We are on the hunt for starting offensive line players who can be difference makers.

There is still time to join the Storm for this season and get game time in 2026. The transfer portal closes on June 2nd for registered players so don't hesitate and get in touch.
