Congratulations to Jenson and Thomas who successfully completed their Dive RAID International open water course with us at Spring Valley Lakes!

Through their training with us, the boys also enjoyed diving at St Brides & Stackpole Quay, two stunning sites in Pembrokeshire.

They’ve had a great course and have proved their competency extremely well and are thoroughly deserving of their new scuba qualifications…

With the team at Bristol Channel Diving Services closing their doors after 31 years, we have made the decision to 'step up' and fill the void that they leave with the purchase of a large chunk of their hardware, we wish Neil & Mags all the very best in their retirement and thank them for the support we received over the years. If you need equipment serviced in a hurry be quick and contact them, they will be closing at the end of August!

We are in the process of securing our own IDEST approved testing station in commercial premises in the Swansea area, only 5 minutes from the M4! We will offer visual & hydrostatic cylinder servicing, O2 cleaning, air & O2 fills, servicing of BCDs & regulators and a place you can view cutting edge diving equipment and pick up associated equipment. We will be fitting out in September and aim to be open for business on the 1st October..... Exciting times ahead, even after 17 years in the diving business... STAY TUNED!

Massive congratulations to Alex & Steph who did a sterling job of passing their Dive RAID Open Water course with us at stunning Martin’s Haven yesterday. You’ve both worked incredibly hard and have made superb, competent entry level divers, be proud of your achievements!! 👏 🎉 😎

The guys have had an excellent course, if we don’t say so ourselves, experiencing diving in Pembrokeshire’s best - Stackpole Quay, St Brides & Martin’s Haven which sits in the Skomer Maritime Conservation Zone! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 👍

Massive well done to Rosh, Jacob & Paul on smashing their Dive RAID International Explorer 30 course and a 30m qualification! 🙌

Careful planning was required to get the guys deeper than 25m at one of our favourite sites - Martin’s Haven in Pembrokeshire.

You’ve all worked incredibly hard over the last few days, particularly Jacob who toiled with the added burden of nailing his drysuit course too - Excellent work guys! ✊😎

Ever wanted to get your open water qualification but not got around to it?

We have a great opportunity for you to join us in and around the Maritime Conservation Zone in Pembrokeshire, Wales for your Open Water course, your first internationally recognised scuba diving qualification which qualifies you to dive to 18 metres.

The course will take place between Wednesday 5th and Sunday 9th August, meeting at 9am each day. The first two days we'll be concentrating on your confined water skills using a lovely northerly facing inlet with rock formations both sides and a gradually sloping bottom offering swimming pool like qualities, a wealth of life in the water too!

You'll have a day off on the Friday before we pick up the course again on the weekend of 8th & 9th with us exploring a very special site to which the Skomer Nature Reserve extends on the Sunday.

We've been diving these sites regularly recently, water temperature 17c and on the up and we are experiencing visibility exceeding 10/12m, the conditions are set to remain!

Cost is £550 which includes your online course materials with Dive RAID International, a wonderful training agency who are internationally recognised allowing you to dive the world over. The cost also includes certification and full scuba dive equipment.

We request a £275 deposit to purchase and allocate your materials and the cost also covers the first two days (confined water) training with the balance requested by the weekend of the open water phase.

We will initially be offering visual & hydrostatic IDEST approved cylinder servicing.

This has been made possible because of the expert guidance of Neil & the team at Bristol Channel Diving Services and we thank you for your support over the years and wish you every success in your retirement.

The end of an incredible week for some of our Bay Divers Club members on Emperor ‘Elite’ out of Port Ghalib & their ‘Simply the Best’ itinerary. On the way home to our loved ones now, stay tuned for some epic pictures taken by one or two of our avid underwater photographers!
