Brynhenllys trout fishery A 2 acre lake situated in the foothills of the Black mountains with outstanding views of the spectacular countryside. Stocked regularly. Day ticket 8am - 8pm.

Fishing is by means of fly only for brown, rainbow and spartic trout which range in weight from 1lb 8oz to 9lbs. (2 fish)

GOOD NEWS
we will be reopening on Friday 4th September
The water level is now back to normal and temperature is OK
We will replenish the fish with a stocking of some nice specimens on Thursday Hope to see you all once again

Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting of the Tawe Angling Association Ltd

To be held at the Glanrhyd Coronation Club, Ystradgynlais, 7pm Wednesday 9 September, 2026.

Following the recent resignations of 7 members of the Tawe Angling Committee the club cannot continue to function. All members of Tawe Angling Association are therefore invited to an Extraordinary General Meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to consider nominations for, and appoint to, the following Committee vacancies:

Brynhenllys Fishery Manager
Committee Chairman
Treasurer
Social & Publicity Secretary
Committee Member (x3).

Due to the significant increase in water temperature
We will cease fishing with immediate effect
The welfare of the fish is our first priority and we will monitor the situation daily and keep you informed

Thè lake at the moment is very low but is fishing well
But if the temperatures continue to rise we will have to close
We are constantly monitoring the temperature and continue to open 0800 to 1400hrs at present

The water temperature this morning has fallen to 16.7
Therefore we will comence fishing on a trial basis from 0800 to 1400 from Tuesday 28th
July
4 hr tickets will apply
I hope that this will ensure the welfare of the fish and the enjoyment of our valued customers

Depending on the water temperature continued drop over the next few days
We expect to resume fishing on a morning only basis as a trial from Tuesday i will keep updating you

Unfortunately the water temperature is still very high
I will continue to monitor daily and will advise when it will be safe to resume fishing

THE LAKE WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL THE TEMPERATURES OF THE WATER FALL TO A MANAGEABLE LEVEL
