⚽ Morriston Blacks vs Penclawdd
What a battling performance from the Blacks today!
From the very beginning, Morriston were up against it, going into the game with just 10 players against Penclawdd's 11 and facing a quick and energetic side.
Despite the difficult circumstances, the Blacks never let their heads drop and continued to give everything from the first whistle right through to the end.
Penclawdd went into half-time 7–0 ahead, but the scoreline didn't stop Morriston from continuing to work hard in the second half. Every player continued to battle, defend and chase until the final whistle.
The official score was capped at 8–0, although there were further goals after the capped scoreline. Regardless of the result, the determination shown by the Blacks with a numerical disadvantage deserves huge credit. ❤️🖤
A special mention must also go to Charlie, who usually plays in goal but was required to play outfield today after a wrist injury. Charlie stepped up brilliantly and put in a fantastic shift in an unfamiliar position. A great example of putting the team first. 👏
🏆 Man of the Match – Hikmat
Hikmat was outstanding today, scoring both of Morriston's goals, including an unbelievable effort from over 30 yards out that caught the goalkeeper out! 🚀⚽
To score twice in a game where the team was playing with 10 men shows the quality and determination of the team who were rewarded for their persistence.
A massive well done to every single player who continued fighting until the very end. The result may not have gone our way, but the effort, attitude and character shown by the Blacks today deserves huge credit. ❤️🖤
