✨ Exciting News for Irish Dancing in Swansea ✨

We are delighted to announce that The Leanne Rees School and The Bernadette Jones School have merged together as of January 2026, to form one academy.

This decision has been carefully considered and with our schools only two miles apart, combining opens the door to more opportunities, more teamwork, and an even stronger future for our dancers while keeping the heart of what we already do!

✨ Why this is so special?
Our dancers will benefit from over 60 years of combined teaching experience and shared style and values. This partnership creates a supportive and inspiring environment.

It is a full 360 moment as prior to individually running her successful school for 20 years, Leanne danced for Bernadette throughout her competitive years. Strengthening this, Ashleigh danced under the instruction of Bernadette for 20 wonderful years before hanging up her shoes to teach alongside her from 2023.

Together, not only are the 3 of us very close friends with a million memories shared, we now cannot wait to make a million more together in this new venture!

With this exciting new chapter, we are now welcoming new dancers of all ages and levels. Whether your child is brand new to Irish dancing or looking to grow competitively, this is the perfect time to join us.

🏆GB Bunghrad U/12 Award WINNER 2025 🏆

Miss. Cerys Williams

Cerys has been dancing since she was just five years old, and it’s been amazing to watch her love for dance grow over the years. 💫

This talented dancer was determined to move out of Bunghrad — and she achieved that goal in October this year! 🙌

Finishing her last year in Bunghrad on an incredible high, she won the award at Regionals, a truly well-deserved way to close that chapter and what better way to do it than with her best friend in at 2nd place 🌟

We’re so proud of her hard work and passion — A very well deserved result! 💚

Miss. Jorgie Johnson

Jorgie is one of our youngest senior dancers, and we’ve had the joy of watching her grow and shine over the years. 💫

She’s fierce on the floor and has a natural gift for picking up new choreography with ease. Her can-do attitude and laid-back nature make her an absolute pleasure to teach — the perfect mix of determination and calm confidence. 🌟

This year marks her first time dancing a Meanghrad award! We can’t wait to see what she brings to the floor in the Irish Open!! We couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come! 💚

🏆 GB U/10 Ullmhuchan Award WINNER 2025 🏆

Miss. Bella Parsons

This incredible dancer has only been dancing for three years but has already achieved so much 💫

This is Bella’s second consecutive Award win after wining the Bunghrad award at her very first regionals, last year!🏆 Having only fully moving into Ullmhuchan in June this year, it’s safe to say she’s smashed it!

Bella is a pleasure to teach! She is always very polite and her hard work, dedication, and natural style shine through every time she steps on stage.

We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what comes next! 🌟

A huge congratulations to our amazing girls who not only all qualified to dance in the Irish Open Championships 2026, but who also all placed in their awards with fantastic results!!! Some dancing in a competition for the very first time, new dances danced, and even new grades!! You have worked so very hard and we are so incredibly proud of you all 🏆💚

💚 TENBY CLASSES 💚

What a bitersweet class tonight was! We have had the most wonderful 4 years teaching in Pembrokeshire but unfortunately due to unforeseen work circumstances, tonight was our final class. To our dancers in Pembroke dock and Tenby, past and present, thank you for the great times we have had together!

We cannot get over the progression dancers have made in these last 4 years! We’ve seen some dancers progress through almost every grade in such a short space of time, and we’ve also seen confidence soar! We can’t wait to watch this progress continue when we see you again at competition!

Also a big thanks to the parents and grandparents of the school, for your continued support in both class attendance, volunteering at competitions, and personalising teamwear doesn’t go unnoticed.

We wish you all the best as we transfer you over to continue on with the re-opened Harries-Hardy School of Irish Dance, but please, don’t become strangers!
