A 1st round win in our defence of the cup this morning means we are in the hat for round 2. Admittedly we didn’t start particularly well but still looked comfortable and went in 3-1 up at HT. After a half time re-set and team chat, the girls were much stronger and dominated the 2nd half, playing some lovely football at times.

And the girls looked dapper in their new alternative kit (even the shorts 😉).

​Vs Lougher | 1-7
​Our first seeding game of the season proved to be a tough test against a very strong Lougher side.

​Lougher started with real intent from the first whistle, testing our keeper and defence early on. The team held firm under early pressure and managed to transition the ball forward well on occasion.

​After breaking the deadlock in the 14th minute, Lougher gained momentum and established a commanding lead. However, the girls kept at it, and some brilliant attacking work resulted in a well-deserved goal just before halftime, sending us into the break at 5-1.
​The girls raised their level in the second half, battling hard across the pitch, and only conceded two further goals—while also being slightly unfortunate to miss a penalty—leaving the final score at 7-1 to the visitors.
​
A difficult opening fixture but one we can learn from.

A big shout out to Reeva taking on her role as team captain with some positive words before, during and after the match.

​Meg put in an outstanding shift in goal, making crucial saves early on and maintaining that high standard throughout the match. She commanded her area brilliantly and took great control of difficult situations when called upon.

A great game of football played in the first rainy day of the season.

After last week’s disappointing performance, we were a lot better and at played well and give a better account of ourselves.

We started brightly and moved the ball around well and got into some promising positions without hurting the home defence, and it was the home team who scored first and again 7 minutes later so again we were 2 down after 19 minutes, but this week we looking more threating and we got 1 back straight from kick off with Ben scoring a screamer from a good 25 yards out which give the keeper no chance. And then just before half time we got back level with a well taken goal from Ash.
Half – time 2-2

The second half time was very much like the first half with both teams playing good football and testing each other whenever they could. It was the home which went ahead again after an hour and it took us until the 83rd minute to get back level with another good goal from Carwyn.

And that’s how it finished with both teams thinking they could have won the game but probably both teams happy they didn’t lose the game. But what I can say what an excellent game of football.

The first teams next game is Saturday away to Ystradgynlais with a 2pm kick off.

A great first win of the season for our reserve team yesterday against a very good Tonna side.

After last weeks game we needed a performance that showed great grit and determination and boy did we get that from all 14 players yesterday.

The first half seen both sides testing each other and not much given by either side, but early in the second half we got the all important breakthrough after some great work in the middle of the pitch released mason down the wing who did fantastically drove to the by-line and squared the ball back to Corey to tap in to give us the lead. And we didn’t have to wait long for the second this time Corey slotting home calmly from the penalty spot, so with half hour to go we were 2-0 up and knew were going to have a few nervous moments to gain the first win of the season. Tonna put us under a lot of pressure towards the end of the game and fair play to our young defenders they delt with everything and we kept the all important clean sheet and a massive 3 points for our young side.

Our reserves next game is against Bryn Rovers home next Saturday with a 2pm kick off.

Another good win and performance from our third team we are getting better game by game.
It was good start from us with Rhydian scoring first but we conceded straight away so the half-time score 1-1 but we took control of the game early in the second half with goals from Kyle, Abdelilah, Leon and Cameron scoring twice to go 6-1 up with 10 minutes to play, Coed Darcy didn’t give up and scored 2 goals in the final stages with the game ending with a 6-3 win for our thirds.

Third teams next game is next Saturday home to Resolven reserves 2pm kick off.

what makes today even more special is knowing where these girls were just a year ago. On their very first games together, we conceded 27 goals.
Today showed just how far they have come 💙
