We experienced hot sunshine and cold water at a great couple of open water events today!

One was the Swim Wales Open Water Championships at the Cotswold Water Park, the other was with Swansea Trisharks at Oxwich Bay on the Gower.

Llongyfarchiadau (congratulations!) to Jack of City of Cardiff Swimming Club and Finley of Pembrokeshire County Swimming who, along with Owen and Evaleigh, will be representing Wales at the National Age Group Open Water Championships in Sheffield this July.

We are very proud of our Coach Katie, who competed in the 2026 British Masters Swimming Championships at Aberdeen Sports Village this weekend.

She achieved her pre-meet goal of 5 medals from 5 races - with 3 of them gold and 2 of them new🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Welsh records!

Thank you Katie for being an inspiration, both coaching poolside and racing in the pool, for all our swimmers.

As the nights draw in and the water begins to ripple with mysterious movement, City of Swansea Aquatics is thrilled to unveil a brand-new short course meet for the 2026/27 season...

👻 The Spook Splash Meet 👻

📅 Saturday 31st October – Sunday 1st November 2026

Taking place at the spectacular new Canolfan Pentre Awel, Llanelli, this Level 3 licensed meet will welcome swimmers from far and wide for a weekend of hauntingly fast racing and spine-tingling performances.

From ghostly 25m dashes to the monster-sized 1500m , every event is on the programme. Whether you're hunting qualification times or chasing personal bests, there's something lurking in the lanes for everyone.

As Halloween takes over the pool, expect a frightfully fun atmosphere alongside some of the fastest swimming of the season.
