“The lad off to his annual Welsh Deaf Rugby Community event today at Parc Y scarlets 🏉
Obviously he wanted to represent his club by wearing his Hendy hat & shirt under his clothes 😁”

“Kian wears 2 bilateral hearing aids as he’s deaf in both ears. A Massive amount of respect & thanks go out to all the coaches, also the children for the Hendy u13s that have been so incredibly inclusive of Kian & haven’t judged him based on his disability instead they support, encourage & treat him just like everyone else, this is his second season with the team & he loves it! 🔴⚪️🟢”

As we look to our new season please can we all firstly thank Ben Batcup for his awesome, outstanding contribution in his time as our captain and leading the team to many memorial victories. Also helping to maintain a very high standard of rugby in every season he captained, especially during the unprecedented times during the Covid-19 virus.

We’ve have many outstanding captains over the years and Ben stands tall and as an equal with the best of the best. Diolch Ben!

We also take this opportunity to say congratulations to Gareth ‘G Dawg’ Thomas as our newly appointed Captain of Yr Hendy RFC.

Gareth has all the skills and determination that are needed to lead us this season and will expect and maintain the highest standards that will bring success to the world famous Hendy RFC!

Again we say thank you to Ben, and our best wishes to Gareth for the season ahead. From all at Yr Hendy RFC ❤️💚

Walking from Singleton Hospital in Swansea to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children where Esme had open heart surgery❤️‍🩹

They will arrive at Bristol Hospital on the 1 year anniversary of Esme’s life saving operation.
