A tough run of results for Solent PFC this week, with losses of 9–0 to Sevenoaks PFC, 8–0 to Norwich PFC, and 16–0 to Aspire PFC. The scorelines weren’t what we wanted, but there were still aspects of real promise across the games. Tough WFA VASE for Solent PFC—2-1 to Middlesbrough Academy, 3-0 to Man City PFC, 8-0 to To Leeds Dynamos PFC, and 5-1 to GBG Saracens. It’s never easy to take results like these, but each game gives the team lessons to learn and grow from.
It’s always great to get out there and play new sides from all over the country—testing ourselves against different styles and levels is how progress is made. The scorelines might sting, but it’s all part of building resilience, improving on the training ground, and coming back stronger. Keep working hard, supporting each other, and Solent will bounce back—every setback is just fuel for the next fight. 💪⚽

Tough time on court, but plenty to build on 💪⚽
We fell to a 3–0 defeat against Muscle Warriors PFC, battling hard but just missing that final edge in front of goal. In the second match, Sevenoaks PFC showed their quality in an 8–0 result, punishing every opportunity.
The scorelines don’t define us — our effort, teamwork and resilience do. We keep learning, we keep improving, and we come back stronger next time. 🔥

Tough weekend for Solent as Aspire PFC ran riot, going 5–0 up by halftime. Solent fought back a bit in the second half with two goals, but Aspire PFC kept their foot on the gas to finish 8–2. Plenty to learn from, and now it’s time to bounce back!

Our second game was Sevenoaks PFC. Sevenoaks were unstoppable, racing to an 8–1 lead by half-time and finishing 12–1 up. Solent managed a consolation goal, but Sevenoaks’ attack was too strong all game. A tough day for Solent, while Sevenoaks will be buzzing after that dominant win.

4/5/25 game week 5

Solent PFC closed out their season with a pair of challenging fixtures, falling 0-2 to Muscle Warriors PFC and 0-4 to Norwich City PFC. While the results weren’t what the team had hoped for, these final matches were a reflection of a season filled with learning, grit, and moments of progress.

Against Muscle Warriors, Solent put in a determined defensive effort, holding their opponents at bay for long stretches. The team showed good discipline and work rate but ultimately conceded a goal in each half as the Warriors capitalized on rare openings. Solent fought to respond, pushing forward late on, but couldn’t find a way through a well-drilled back line.

In the final game against a dominant Norwich City side, Solent faced intense pressure from the outset. Norwich’s sharp movement and clinical finishing proved too much on the day. Despite the scoreline, Solent continued to show fight, battling until the final whistle and refusing to let their heads drop — a testament to our squads' resilience.

While the season ended on a difficult note, Solent PFC can take pride in the resilience shown throughout the campaign. The experience gained — especially in tough fixtures like these — lays the groundwork for improvement. With commitment, cohesion, and hard work in the off-season, Solent will be looking to return stronger, more confident, and more competitive.

The journey continues — and the future remains bright for this developing side.

16/3/25 game week 4

In the opening fixture, Solent fell to a strong Aspire side in a 9-0 loss. Aspire came out fast and clinical, capitalising on early chances and dominating possession throughout. Despite Solent’s efforts to regroup, Aspire’s pressure never let up, and the final scoreline reflected their attacking prowess.

Later in the day, Solent looked to bounce back against Norwich, showing more structure and resilience. However, Norwich managed to find the net twice, securing a 2-0 win. Solent battled hard and created moments going forward but couldn’t find the breakthrough.

While the results didn’t go their way, the team showed determination and character in difficult circumstances. With lessons learned and areas identified for improvement, Solent will be looking to respond positively in the next round of games

Results of game week 3 9/2/25

We experienced a good swing in form this week, clinching a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace before suffering a crushing 8-0 loss to a dominant Sevenoaks PFC side.

In our clash with Crystal Palace, Solent displayed impressive discipline and defensive organization. A solitary goal proved enough to secure the win, with a solid team effort keeping Palace at bay throughout the match. The result marked a high point in Solent’s season, showcasing their potential when the team is in sync and executing the game plan effectively.

However, the celebrations were short-lived. Facing title contenders Sevenoaks PFC, Solent found themselves outmatched from the first whistle. Sevenoaks' relentless attacking play and clinical finishing overwhelmed Solent, who struggled to cope with the pace and intensity. The 8-0 scoreline was a harsh reality check, highlighting areas that will need significant improvement moving forward.

With such differing performances, Solent PFC will be looking to regroup quickly—building on the positives from the Crystal Palace match while learning from the challenges posed by a ruthless Sevenoaks side.

It was a challenging game from start to finish, and credit goes to them for a strong performance. While the result didn’t go our way, we showed resilience and learned a lot from the experience. As a team, we’ll take this as an opportunity to improve, refine our strategy, and come back even stronger. Thanks to all our supporters who cheered us on – your encouragement means the world to us.
