A big thankyou to all of you that have sponsored me so far. I very much appreciate your support, even though some of the sponsors are anonymous...... so I don't know who to thank. If you haven't seen my story. Then here it is. I am still being treated for cancer, so this will be extra gruelling for me to complete....... but I have every faith in myself to do it.

PLEASE AND THANKYOU............

Exciting news...... I've been selected to join Giovanna Fletcher on one of her fundraising treks for the breast cancer charity Coppafeel. We will be covering 100km around Hadrians Wall County over 7 days. It will be brutal, but an amazing experience.

It is also close to my heart to do this as I was diagnosed with breast cancer just a few weeks before we moved to Cornwall.

I apologise to those of you I haven't told, although it's not a secret, I felt it was something I didn't want to tell people by text message.
I wasn't going to say anything about it on FB either....... but I need to fundraise. 🥰

Please support me if you can. Even if it's just £1...... every £1 will count.
I need to raise £2225 as a minimum, but obviously I would love raise more.

Hi All

This is just to confirm that the Cocarola September competition is not going ahead this year due to our imminent relocation to Cornwall on the 3rd September.

We are happy to say that we have made provisional bookings at the beautiful venue of the Warren for the
11th to 13th February 2022
This will be for our Cocarola Grand Ball Dinner and Dance, including the Professional Latin Invitation Competition and Cocarola Dance Sunday competition day.

Also booked is Sunday 4th September 2022 for our Cocarola competition day.

Put the dates in your diary and any updates will be posted on this FB page.

Hi All

We hope this message finds you all well.

This past year has been challenging for everyone and as many of you know we haven't been able to teach since the first lockdown., physical classes or zoom classes.

We have been kept very busy though. Many of you know that Richard, in his daytime job, is a biomedical scientist that specialises in Viruses (very apt for the current global situation) and Edith was born 3 days after the first lockdown began.

Events have recently taken a change of direction for us.
Richard has been offered a new job.
We do have to relocate to Cornwall though.
It's a great job with future opportunities and Cornwall will create an amazing new life to bring up a young family.

We will have to say goodbye to dancing for the time being though. Hopefully in time we will be settled enough to restart something. ......... although, as dedicated as some of you are that journey may be a stretch to drive to for a class.
We also hope in the future to reinstate some of our Cocarola events in London.

You could say Covid really has changed our lives, as I'm sure we would have gone on as normal..... if everything was normal.

We hope you all understand our situation.

Thank you all for your support over the years on our classes, competitions and events.

Hi All,

Just a note to say that our February 2021 Cocarola Dance Festival, including the Grand Ball and Professional Latin Challenge Competition, will unfortunately not be taking place due to the onging pandemic issues. We can only hope that we will be able to see you all at our September 2021 Festival.
We hope that you have all been able to enjoy your Christmas in some small way and we would like to wish you all a happy and healthy New Year.
Fingers crossed for a better 2021.

Time to state the obvious now to say that our competition day on the 6th September 2020 is cancelled.

Our dates for next year are as follows:

Friday 19th February 2021
Cocarola Grand Ball Dinner and Dance featuring Professional Latin Challenge Competition

Sunday 21st February 2021
Cocarola National League Competition Day.

Sunday 5th September 2021
Cocarola Competition Day

Hi All

As of last Tuesday and in light of government advice we have now closed all classes and lessons at our venues until further notice. We will keep in contact on our WhatsApp groups and the Cocarola page. Please message us if you would like to be added to one of those groups. Thank you for support over the years and hopefully we can restart classes in the near future when it is safe to do so.

It is a difficult time for all of us but hopefully we will have some good news in the coming week with the imminent arrival of Baby Tandy No2.

A big big thankyou to everyone of you that travelled in the horrible weather conditions to be with us at the Cocarola Dance Festival yesterday.
From our fabulous panel of adjudicators.... Steven Arnold, Lauren Hemera, Morgan Hemphill, Leila Stewart and our Chairman, Gary Foster.

Our trusty group of helpers........ the day wouldn't run without you.

The biggest thanks goes to all of the competitors that made the trip out in the never ending rain and wind. A fabulous day full of talented dancers. THANKYOU!!
