Checkout our .canoeing sea kayak award weekends in in 2024. Come and explore the with an array of epic locations to learn lots of skills.

During your weekend you will get to explore a range of fundamental skills allowing you to manoeuvre and control your craft on the sea. You will get to learn the fine art of sea kayak rescuing both self rescue and rescuing others.

Navigation skills which is vital to a successful day on the water and we will include using forecasts and sea conditions. H2oadventures has a fleet of for you to use and find the sea kayak that works best for you.

Everybody's perception of sea conditions is different. What can be a flat calm sea to one is a bouncy unsteady sea for another. Different conditions can require more skills and a better understanding of kayak control in the water.

Starting with our sea kayak award weekend you will master the fundamental skills of sea kayak control while gaining confidence and improved ability. From here you can move to moderate water sessions which will fine-tune and put you in bigger waters and allow your adventures to go bigger and further.

I started my kayaking in a lake in London while becoming an outdoor instructor and progressed to longer river trips all very flat waters. Moving to Dorset allowed me to get lots of time on the sea and progressed quickly through the conditions to where I'm now happy sitting in tidal races and fast-flowing waters across the UK.

I would love to know more about what your comfort zone is and where you go to find these waters and what skills you would love to improve on.

We are busy getting ready to welcome you all to the most amazing locations in Dorset. H2oadventures is based in Swanage which is on the Jurassic coast. We can offer you a wide range of kayaking adventures and British Canoeing courses .

We said good bye to the August bank holiday yesterday and finished our summer of sea kayaking with the perfect conditions . Flat calm and even summer sunshine .

Family adventures are amazing to be part of especially when it's their first outing on the water. The key is to build confidence and lots of discovery. After a fun introduction we headed out to explore the Old Pier in Swanage and learn more about controlling a kayak .

We then headed out to explore Swanage bay and across to banjo pier . 2 hours fly by and we are back at Swanage boat park with lots of smiles and new memories to keep forever.

Many thanks to everyone who has booked with H2oadventures this summer I've met so many epic people and look forward to paddling with you again. Our autumn and winter program will be available this week with lots of trips, courses away trips to Pembrokeshire and angelsey.

Day 2 of our sea kayak award weekend on the Jurassic coast. Our courses are full to the brim of rescue techniques including self rescue and rescuing others .

Introducing the paddle float. This great bit of kit can be easily stowed in your kayak ready to use to assist you in re entering your kayak. It creates a steady platform to heal hook .

I met lots more amazing paddlers at the beginning of their sea kayaking journey this weekend and can't wait to show you more skills and be part of your future adventures .

Congratulations to the paddlers that passed your award and also the discovery award for others . Everyone progresses at a different time and the longer you are paddling the greater your knowledge.
