We had a good session this Thursday (15th March). Good turnout including a friendly visit from Jane ( Wilson), who has been away for some time due to health and family reasons - thanks for your gifts 🎁 and the good news of your plans to recommence in the summer re-start!

It was also an opportunity to celebrate Jay’s birthday from a few days previous, for which he supplied the now traditional chocs!! Yummmy !

For some strange unknown reason our lock had been changed -so the small square key failed -eventually found the right one!! Also noted the water damage and unhinging of the lid - anybody know what happened - anybody skilled in repair any ideas of best repair please reply

We had a great trip to the Yonex All England Championships in Birmingham on Wednesday 14th. A long day, but great group of people making the journey pass quickly and the Badminton was so entertaining and inspiring. England doing pretty well and so good to see the legends Lin Dan, Chong Wei etc . There were 15 of us including Friends who don’t currently play at SBC, but share in enthusiasm for the sport.

Many thanks to Roger for all the work he did in planning, organising, informing, promoting and coordinating the trip - a great success - and a great model of the way our members get involved for the benefit of all

This summer, Swanage Badminton Club will be celebrating its 100th anniversary!

The All England Badminton Championships, Birmingham 14th March,2018.
Swanage Badminton Club are planning a day trip to this event, which promises to be great fun - if we get 25 people we will book a coach to leave Swanage at 06.30 - however we still need more people to make the planned transport viable. Please can I ask you to consider your interest and that of friends and family, who might be interested I.e like watching Badminton at the Olympics etc. Anybody interested could they please contact Roger Wilcox within next week or so. We could ideally like to get 12 more interested people.
