I’m very excited to be walking the Jurassic Coast Challenge in May🌟The 100km route wends its way through some of the most beautiful places on The Isle of Purbeck and beyond. I’m so excited to train up and take part! It will be a huge challenge but I’ll put one foot in front of the other and see how far I get👣 I’m hoping to raise funds for The Stroke Association and The John Huntingdon’s Charity in Sawston, Cambridge. Please see my fundraising link for the full story and details about how you can donate, if you would like to support, Thank you 🙏🏻

Fabulous walk from Ringstead to Osmington yesterday. The tide was low so we walked along the beach and rocks, then back along the Coast Path. I love the little chapel at Ringstead, and the huge ‘dogger’ rocks near Osmington are fascinating. Plus the paragliders provided some photographic fun!

Dancing Ledge is a favourite walk for many - especially on a warm summer's day when a dip in the pool and a picnic is a must! This is a short walk, although the clamber up and down the rocks to the wave-cut platform and the long steep climb back up the hill, makes it a challenge!

A short, beautiful, and in places steep, route to one of Purbeck's most famous coastal landmarks - Dancing Ledge.

There are a lot of farms on the Isle of Purbeck! We have enjoyed discovering walks that weave through fields and farmland and this route is one of our favourites. it's amazing how much history there is to learn about, for example, an old barn on the back lane to Corfe Castle used to be a Quaker Meeting House. https://www.islewalkpurbeck.com/walks/multiplefarmwalk

The beaches at Studland and the inner reaches of Poole Harbour make for perfect leisurely strolls at the weekend. We particularly like this route, out along Studland and Shell Bay, across to Bramble Bush Bay and back through the sand dunes.

A coastal walk along the golden sands of Studland Bay and onwards to the inner reaches of Poole Harbour, returning via the sand dunes.

We're collating our favourite walks on the Isle of Purbeck, including this one on Nine Barrow Down. There are many footpaths on Nine Barrow, starting in Corfe Castle, Ulwell, or somewhere in between. From the top of the hill you can enjoy views over to Studland and Poole Harbour to the north and the Purbeck coastline to the south.

A stunning walk including views across Purbeck and to Poole Harbour, plus an opportunity to explore the Bronze Age barrows that give this hill its name
