Castleton Show Race

Draft results are available, any errors/typos observations let us know.

Its aka a road race for fell runners and a fell race for road runners, this is the Castleton Show Run 9.60km/300m.

The morning rain cleared, skies were brightly cloudy, mild temperatures but the wind did blow.

Thanks to Chris Wright of North York Moors AC who was today's Race Organiser and our volunteers on course, registration and finishline.

Race winners were Catherine Williamson FV40 Loftus & Whitby AC and Joseph Martlew MSEN Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers in 38.41 and 37.50 respectively. Completing the podiums were runners up Esther Harrison FV40 Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers and Robin Bergstrand MV60 (yes) North York Moors AC and third places to Kirsty Struthers FSEN North York Moors AC and Paul Lawton MV40 Scarborough AC. Leading Under 18 competitor was Will Rowan MU18 Esk Valley Fell Club and the oldest finisher Carolyn Gale FV75 North York Moors AC

In the team competitions, Loftus & Whitby AC women and Esk Valley Fell Club men claimed the wins.

The final race in the Dave Parry LETS RUN Summer Series 2026 is Fryup Frazzler on Sunday 20th September 2026.
