🏆 Community Support Fund Winners Announced 🏆

What started as a simple idea to support local organisations has turned into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

Over the past week, hundreds of votes have been cast, and countless people have taken the opportunity to highlight the incredible work being carried out across our local communities.

Firstly, we would like to thank every organisation that was nominated and every finalist who took part. The standard was exceptionally high and choosing a shortlist was incredibly difficult.

After reviewing and verifying the votes, we are delighted to announce that the three organisations selected to each receive **£1,000** from the **M+S Renewables Community Support Fund** are:

🌟 Miles for smiles
🌟 Newhall F.C.
🌟 Gresley Rovers FC

However, one thing became very clear throughout this campaign: every finalist is making a positive difference within our community.

For that reason, **every finalist will receive a donation from M+S Renewables**, recognising the fantastic work they do and the impact they have on local people.

In addition to the three £1,000 awards, each of the remaining finalists will receive a **£100 donation** from M+S Renewables.

The remaining finalists are:

🌟 **Measham Community First Responders**
🌟 **The Young Ones – Burton Group**
🌟 The Circle - Swadlincote Family Support Centre
🌟 Stapenhill Swans Girls and Ladies FC
🌟 Derbyshire Blood Bikes

We hope this is just the beginning. The campaign has shone a light on some truly outstanding organisations, and we would encourage everyone to continue supporting them long after the voting has finished.

Most importantly, thank you to the volunteers, coaches, committee members, trustees, staff and supporters who dedicate their time to making our communities better places to live.

☀️⚽ Smiles, sunshine and football... what more could you ask for?

Our brand-new U7s have been having an absolute blast at training this week! 🌟 It's fantastic to see so many young players enjoying the game, building friendships, developing new skills and growing in confidence every session.

We can't wait to watch this brilliant group continue their football journey together.

What an incredible effort for our U10 Tigers this weekend, with parents taking on the Willington Raft Race 🚣

Thanks to everyone's hard work, determination and generosity, an incredible £500 has been raised for the team ! 👏💪

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated, cheered from the sidelines and helped make the day such a fantastic success. Your support will help provide opportunities and experiences for our players throughout the season.

🦁⚽ An Incredible Achievement for Our U15 Lions ⚽🦁

The team celebrated their fantastic Derby City League success last weekend after completing a perfect league campaign, winning 20 out of 20 matches.

The lads have enjoyed an outstanding season, not only securing the league title but also reaching the Derby City Cup Final, showcasing their quality and determination throughout the year.

Their journey has been truly remarkable, with the team putting together an incredible 44-game unbeaten run, a streak that has lasted almost two years.

This achievement reflects the hard work, commitment, and togetherness of the players, coaches, and supporters who have been part of the journey every step of the way.

Everyone at Newhall F.C. is incredibly proud of what this group has accomplished. Congratulations to all involved on a season that will live long in the memory. 💙🦁⚽

🌟 Community Support Fund Finalist: Newhall F.C. 🌟

We’re pleased to introduce another finalist in the M+S Renewables Community Support Fund: Newhall FC.

Their nomination statement:

“Newhall FC provides grassroots football opportunities for children of all abilities in the local community. We are growing the girls’ game by offering free sessions. Funding would be used to purchase training equipment, goals, footballs, and coaching resources, helping us deliver safe, inclusive, high-quality football sessions while keeping participation affordable for families.”

We’re proud to recognise the work Newhall FC is doing to support local children, encourage participation and make grassroots football more accessible for families in the community.

The public vote opens on Sunday 7th.
