I've been involved in Martial Arts for a long while now and have a wealth of knowledge to share from my learnings and experiences into a world that I thought I could never get good at or succeed in. Way back in 1988 I was involved in a bad accident on a motorbike resulting in a few broken bones but more seriously I damaged nerves resulting in a permanent loss of use of my right arm, I was in a wor
ld of pain, upset and at the lowest in my life. I could only sit watching Bruce Lee Movies, reading martial arts magazines and think only what if? There was no way in my mind that I could do a martial art and be an effective fighter using one hand ......how wrong was I? In around 1990 some friends got me to go to a Local Lau Gar Kung Fu class and I found that I got on great and even held my own sparring with other students. Kung Fu wasn't for me though, I did it for one and a half years then decided I wanted other things, I had also tried Karate but decided to train either in Tae Kwon Do or Kickboxing as these appealed to me the most even though I knew back then there is no such thing as the best martial art, you get out of them what you put into them. I decided to start Kickboxing which i have done under a few top instructors. In 1996 I received my 1st degree Black belt, I have appeared in local newspapers, I have also been ''Martial Artist of the month'' and featured in Martial Arts illustrated Magazine. I used to Train up to 5 days a week, my hand and foot speed was so good that I was soon looked up to and respected by fellow martial artists. I also have nearly two years experience with the British Gymnastics Association and learnt to do basic moves such as cart wheels and front flips. Now I'm getting older I don't train like I used to, just enough to keep me healthy and the heart attack at bay a while longer! I'm now offering reasonably priced private tuition if you are interested -
