We’ve had another fantastic day at Capernwray Dive Centre - and the weather was finally on our side! ☀️

4 of our trainees took their first giant stride into open water today, and we couldn’t be prouder of their effort, resilience, and determination throughout the weekend. What an achievement! 🤿

A huge thank you, as always, to our incredible instructors who give up their time to support our new members every step of the way 🙌🏼

And a big shoutout to Anna (our new social media apprentice 😉) for capturing the weekend - we love sharing the photos… flattering or, more often than not, not! 🥴📸

What a cracking first day at Capernwray Dive Centre! We’ve had a bit of everything weather-wise - sun, wind, rain, HAIL… all within about 10 minutes - but it’s not stopped us making the most of it.

Huge well done to our trainees Iain, Tom, Talia and Sophie for absolutely smashing their first open water dives today 👏🤿

Bring on day two… we can’t wait to get back in tomorrow!

Huge thank you to IKSAC for welcoming us to their pool session this week!🤿

What a great opportunity for our trainees to get a proper feel for a drysuit before heading into open water… The 3.5m pool is such a luxury🙌🏼

21 at the pool this evening… and we’re loving it! 🤪

We kicked off the afternoon with our Ocean Divers’ first lecture before heading down to the pool to put it all into practice 🤿

Tonight’s numbers:
• 8 trainees
• 3 try dives
• 2 divers
• 1 freediver
• 1 surface cover
• 6 very busy instructors!

The atmosphere at the pool has been brilliant recently and it’s fantastic to see our trainees progressing. We can’t wait to see them through the rest of their training!

Great effort from everyone tonight - keep up the good work! 👏

16 in the pool tonight… yes, SIXTEEN! 🤯🤿

How amazing to see the pool so busy this week! We had 7 try dives, 2 trainees, 6 instructors, and 1 freediver all making the most of the water.

Nights like this really show what our club is all about - great training, supportive instructors, and a brilliant community both in and out of the pool. Whether you’re taking your very first breath underwater or working towards your next qualification, there’s always something going on.

Our next Ocean Diver course is starting very soon and we’d love to welcome some new faces to our club! 🤿✨

Whether you’ve always been curious about the underwater world or you’re just looking for a new hobby, Ocean Diver is the perfect place to start - no previous experience needed.

📍 Where: Lammas Leisure Centre (NG17 2AD)
🕓 When: Every Sunday, 4-5pm
🏊‍♂️ What: Pool training, expert instructors, great people & lots of fun

You’ll learn real scuba skills, build confidence in the water, and join a friendly, supportive club that dives both locally and further afield 🌍🐠

We may not have had any diving planned… but that didn’t stop Mansfield 735 getting into our drysuits and taking on the water this Boxing Day 🌊

From a last-minute team and costume idea on 23rd December, to a raft built on Christmas Eve, we were proud to take part in Matlock’s annual Raft Race on Boxing Day - all in aid of the RNLI ❤️

Earlier this year, the RNLI in Kyle of Lochalsh helped get us out of a tricky situation, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the work they do. A seriously brilliant cause, and one we were honoured to support (even if it meant becoming the Mansfield Crayons for the day 🖍️😂).

Huge thanks to Sam and Skip for towing and launching our raft, and transporting our team. To everyone who came out to cheer us on - We hope you had as much fun as we did🥰
