Taking the Ladies Perspective for a Great Cause

An event organised last Saturday by member Neal Deacon saw 15 members of our Coxmoor Group organised to play an annual "Ladies Day Event" which we decided to give our entry fees to the "Breast Cancer Now" charity.

We played a Stableford competition off the red competition tees, using the red S.I and a mandatory pink item of clothing had to be worn!

It was an enjoyable day for all, giving everyone an insight into the different strategies involved from playing from the red tees with lower handicaps!

We raised £150 for the charity with some additional donations also coming from members in the spike bar who also donated once they were informed what we were all up to dressed in pink!

England Golf has announced it's teams for the European Championships and our own Seb Cave has been selected for the England Men's team.

Please see the link attached to this message for all of the information on the team and the upcoming team championship taking place next month in Estonia.

Ahead of this, Seb has the final stage of Open qualifying next week on Tuesday 30th June at West Lancashire.

Coxmoor continues to be extremely proud of Seb's achievements and I'm sure we all wish him the very best over the next few weeks.

It is with great sadness that I write this post. The clubhouse was broken into in the early hours of this morning, the trophy cabinet was raided and we have had most of our silverware stolen.
There is a huge amount of history and many years of memories tied up in those trophies which adds to the anger and frustration we are feeling at the moment.
Suffice to say, if anyone hears of or knows anything about this, please let the club or the police know.

Today Coxmoor Juniors played the Notts match play finals against Rushcliffe.

The Juniors faced very tough opposition but ultimately came out on top winning 3-2

Congratulations Team another great achievement

On to the Tony Thorpe Salver on Sunday which will see our Juniors vs the Scratch team
