East Sutton Cricket Club

East Sutton Cricket Club We are a social cricket club based in the small village of East Sutton south of Maidstone in the Weald of Kent.

We have two regular weekend sides that play friendly matches with local clubs. We are a village cricket club with our own ground and only play friendly games throughout the season.

East Sutton posted 228 on a glorious day at the Shant Ground. Rob Yardy with 75 and the rest of the team chipping in. After falling to 28-3 and 64-5 Town Malling recovered with a big 6th wicket partnership to take the game down to the wire. With only 26 runs needed off the last 3 overs with 2 wickets remaining only for Jonah Harcourt to polish off the tail to end Malling’s valiant effort to push for the win.

Cloudy skies and cooler weather away at Ash village today. Played a rare timed game and accumulated 215 by tea time which was a decent score. After a big fat tea with many savouries and piles of cake East Sutton took regular wickets winning the game with 7 overs to spare, the last Wicket was a great grab by Chris Scratchley off the bowling of Debutant Parminder Singh ❤️
