I know a lot of people who skip warmups and cooldowns prior to a workout, and it can indeed be tempting to save time. But heres why you SHOULDNT skip that warmup and cooldown.
It takes five minutes to warmup, it could take five months to recover from an injury as a result of NOT warming up properly before a workout.
To improve flexibility, mobility, balance and to avoid injury it is best to warmup and stretch before and after your workouts. Although often performed together, warming up and stretching each prepare your body for exercise in different ways
