I’m a Virgo sun and moon. Which means this Friday’s New Moon lands right in the centre of who I am, and I’ve been feeling it building all week.

Virgo gets unfairly reduced to the perfectionist, the over-thinker, the one who can’t switch off.

But Virgo at its most evolved isn’t about perfection. It’s about devotion. The care you bring to the ordinary. The quiet satisfaction of a system that works. The understanding that how you tend to the small things shapes the quality of everything.

This New Moon is not about turning yourself into yet another improvement project. The purpose is to identify what creates unnecessary strain and make precise adjustments that support the life you actually want.

After eclipse season’s intensity, this feels like exactly the right medicine.

I’m holding circle on Friday to work with this energy together. As a Virgo, I cannot think of a better way to begin a new cycle.

It’s my birthday today 🥳, and I want to share something that was described as mind blowing in circle last night.

Cast your mind back to September 2024 - this is when the Virgo-Pisces eclipse series that concluded with last night’s lunar eclipse first began. I asked everyone to do this in circle last night, so they could understand the relevance of this eclipse at a personal level.

Whatever began, ended, or shifted then has been slowly completing itself - and last night was the closing of that chapter.

For the people in circle, September 2024 held relationships ending, business connections dissolving, new friendships forming that have since shaped both their personal and professional lives. There was shock, realisations and a sense of how much has developed and evolved in each of our lives since that point.

And for me?

September 2024 was the month I sent my last message to my mother. The moment I cemented and communicated my decision to sever ties with her completely.

Making the decision to go no contact with a parent is never taken lightly. And the hurt, the grief, the disappointment, the feelings of abandonment - they don’t disappear the moment the decision is made. The last two years have been a rollercoaster. Painful, clarifying, confronting, and ultimately transforming in ways I couldn’t have predicted when I was in the middle of it. I know those who shared they were dealing with challenging situations back then would agree.

Personally, I have leaned HARD on my years of therapy and every tool in my mental health and self-care toolkit to navigate this. And standing here today - on my birthday, the day of a Pisces lunar eclipse that concluded a two-year chapter, I can say honestly: The chapter has closed. Fully.

I am not the same person I was in September 2024. I am stepping forward lighter, calmer, and looking ahead with a quality of excitement that I haven’t felt in a long time.

That is the gift this eclipse has given to me.

The universe is giving me a lunar eclipse for my birthday this Friday.

I’ve been looking forward to this one all year, because this one is closing a chapter that opened almost two years ago. And I know personally what that chapter has held. What’s I’ve processed, released, and quietly built in the background while everything else was happening at the surface.

A lunar eclipse on your birthday is a particular kind of gift. The kind that illuminates. That completes. That asks you to look at what’s ready to be let go before you step into a new year of life.

And when it’s landing in Pisces, in the sign of the deep feeling, of dissolution, of returning to what’s most essentially true… it becomes the most intimate energy to do that kind of reckoning under.

I’m holding circle on Thursday 27th to work with these energies together.

What we have right now is one extraordinarily concentrated moment of beginning. Amplified, alive, and very much still active.

The visual event is complete. The energetic one is just getting started.

Leo is asking something specific: what are you ready to begin - fully as yourself? Not the edited version. Not the one that fits the room. The real one.

Potentially unpopular take on this week’s solar eclipse:
It’s not something to get through. It’s something to meet.

A solar eclipse is a portal - a concentrated moment of course correction where life reorganises itself around who you’re actually becoming rather than who you’ve been performing.

This one lands in Leo tonight. and it opens a new chapter in the Leo-Aquarius eclipse series that will unfold over the coming months. The themes of individual expression versus collective belonging are just beginning.
