Great to see Nordic Walking recommended!

Government guidance for health and care professionals about falls prevention specifically mentions Nordic Walking for improving balance and building muscle, bone and joint strength. If you know anyone working in this arena, please make sure they see this.

Nordic Walking gives faster results for losing weight than normal walking: the results suggest that Nordic Walking gives greater and quicker benefits in some relevant health parameters meaning that the activity can be considered as a primary tool to counteract obesity and overweight state in middle-aged adults.

We have been saying for a while now that walking is good for the mind.
Our friends Country Walking Magazine have pointed out its also good for a number of other health related matters as well.

Why not sign up for the challenge in 2020.

Do it on your own terms though.

You could count the miles doing the hoovering, walking to the bus stop, walking around the office, as well as walking the dog or hiking the Dales.

I'm counting running and walking and have done 1554 miles so far in 2019, however I made my 2019 challenge boots (or trainers) on! That is a specific walk, hike or run - I've currently got about 60 miles left to do so it will be tight. Wish me luck😊
