🚨 Are you training hard… or just training too much?
One thing I always remind my clients is that more isn’t always better.
Your body doesn’t get stronger during your workout; it gets stronger when it recovers.
Here are 7 signs you might need to slow down for a few days:
💤 1. You’re always feeling tired
Not just after a tough session, but all the time.
📉 2. Your lifts or workouts are going backwards
You’re putting the effort in, but your strength or performance is dropping instead of improving.
😴 3. Your sleep isn’t great
You’re exhausted, but either struggle to fall asleep or keep waking up during the night.
😤 4. You’re feeling more stressed or irritable
Little things start annoying you, and motivation to train disappears.
🤒 5. You’re getting ill or picking up little injuries
Your body isn’t recovering as well as it should.
❤️ 6. Your resting heart rate is higher than normal
If you track it, a higher-than-usual morning heart rate can be a sign your body is under too much stress.
🍕 7. Your hunger feels all over the place
Either you’re never hungry, or you’re constantly craving food because your body is trying to catch up.
👉 Remember: Missing one workout won’t stop your progress. Training too hard for too long without recovering might.
The strongest people aren’t the ones who train the most…
They’re the ones who know when to push and when to recover.
Recovery is part of the plan not a break from it. 💪
Have you ever noticed any of these signs? Which one surprised you the most?
