We’re reviewing upcoming competitions at Sutton Bridge Golf Club and would love your thoughts on what formats you enjoy and would like to see more of. 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

👇 Here are a few ideas (all comps against the field):

🏆 Stableford – Points per hole, most consistent scoring format

⚖️ Bogey / Par – Each hole vs par (win, halve or lose the hole)

🏅 Medal (Stroke Play) – Every shot counts, lowest total wins

🧠 3 Club Challenge – Pick only 3 clubs for the entire round

⛳ Par 3 Challenge – Every hole played as a Par 3

We’re also open to other ideas and team based variations to keep things fresh and fun for all abilities.

🏌️‍♂️⛳ Friday Night Roll-Up – Everyone Welcome! ⛳🏌️‍♀️

Another great evening at Sutton Bridge Golf Club with 17 players taking part in our Friday Night 9-Hole Stableford Roll-Up! 👏

🏆 Winning score was 21 points
🔥 Three players finished just behind on 20 points
🐦 And there were two birdies recorded on the par 3s!

What makes these evenings so enjoyable is the variety of golfers taking part. Tonight’s field ranged from 2 handicap all the way to 34 handicap, proving that golfers of all abilities can come along, compete, and have a great time.

What a fantastic day at Sutton Bridge Golf Club! With temperatures hitting around 32°C 🥵, 16 teams took to the course in some seriously hot conditions and the course was in absolutely superb condition all day 👏⛳️

What a day down the bridge. Scramble competition 16 teams.

Blistering HEAT ☀️☀️☀️

BUT First things first a massive massive congratulations to Paul Davis for a hole in one. Not on the 2nd. Not on the 6th. But on the 306yards par 4 3rd! Thats right, across the dock basin up the dock wall and in the hole.

We are currently aware this was only done once before by life member Kevin Howling approx 25 years ago.

Anyone know any different??
