Today, ten of the Amazons took part in their very first women’s football tournament — a charity event held in memory of Adam Redfern. Aged between 14 and 16, the girls faced off against seven experienced ladies’ teams. Despite the physical intensity of the matches, the Amazons powered through to reach the semifinals. We couldn’t be prouder of their determination, resilience, and team spirit. 💪⚽

After an amazing first season we were delighted to make it through to the Nottinghamshire County Cup Finals. A super closely fought battle ended with a 1:0 loss against league winners Eastwood Town.
Well done girls you’re all amazing.

Very sad to say that a fair number of our our players have been affected by this shocking decision, whilst the media describe the progression in women’s youth football, under the surface the reality is it is stifled and is not supported to the same extent as boys development. How many boys teams at Burton have been or are being cancelled…….none!
