Somewhere along the way, too many men were sold the idea that being strong means dealing with everything yourself. Keep your problems to yourself. Carry the pressure. Get on with it.

But sometimes real strength comes from having good men around you — people who understand the pressures you face, push you when you need it, listen when it matters and expect the best from you.

That’s why places like The Spartan are about far more than training.

It’s about brotherhood. Community. Belonging. A tribe of like-minded men all trying to become stronger physically and mentally — and helping each other along the way.

You still have to fight your own battles. But you don’t have to fight them alone.

❤️ WHAT WILL YOUR CHILD REMEMBER WHEN THEY’RE OLDER?

Probably not the latest toy you bought them, the game they were desperate to have, or most of the things that seem so important right now.

They’ll remember experiences. They’ll remember the people who believed in them. The coaches who made them feel capable. The moments they were nervous but did it anyway. And the feeling of achieving something they once thought they couldn’t.

Those moments help shape the person they eventually become.

At The Spartan, we don’t just want to teach children how to kickbox. We want to give them memories, lessons and achievements they can carry with them for life. 🥊

Easily the hardest we’ve seen them work. If we could I’d have given them all the amazing effort awards. Every single one of them deserved it.

There comes a point where you realise… enough is enough.

For every person, that moment looks different.

For some of our members, it was realising they were spending too much time sitting at home, eating too much and being consumed by dark thoughts.

For others, it was the constant battle with their own negative mindset. The cycle of struggling mentally, overeating to cope, then feeling even worse about themselves afterwards.

And for some, it was simply looking in the mirror and deciding they wanted more — more confidence, more self-belief and to finally feel good about the person looking back at them.

Their reasons were different, but the decision was the same:

Something had to change.

And that decision became the first step towards becoming stronger — physically and mentally. 🥊

Whatever your turning point is, you don't have to wait until things get worse to make a change.

Sometimes the strongest version of you is built during the hardest periods of your life. 🥊

That’s one of the things we love about kickboxing.

You walk through the doors carrying the stress, frustration and pressures of everyday life — and for the next hour, you get to channel all of it into something positive.

You get fitter.
You get stronger.
You learn new skills.
You build confidence.
And little by little, you start seeing yourself differently.

Kickboxing isn’t just about learning how to punch and kick. It’s about discovering what you’re capable of when you challenge yourself and refuse to give up.

Turn stress into focus.

Ten years ago, Harrison walked through our doors as a child. Today, he's becoming an exceptional young man. ❤️🥊

Watching young people grow over the years is one of the greatest privileges of what we do.

Harrison has now trained with us for a decade, and while he's become a fantastic kickboxer, that's not what makes us most proud.

It's the discipline he's developed.
The confidence he's built.
The resilience he's shown.
And the respectful, grounded young man he's becoming.

In this reel, Harrison shares what training at The Spartan Gym has meant to him, from helping him deal with stress to surrounding himself with like-minded people who encourage him to become better every week.

Because that's what martial arts should be about.

Not just producing better athletes...

Today, more of our Spartan members came and took part in our Spartan Safe Sparring seminar and learned more about how sparring can be an effective and enjoyable tool in their martial arts journey.

From defence and retaliation, to different kinds of sparring modes, we covered a broad range of systems to help each and every member develop themselves and each other safely.

Well done team Spartan another fantastic week down in the gym.
