We are delighted to welcome Will Howe to the team. Our 11th signing of a busy summer.

Will made his debut against Shincliffe, and what a debut it was. A composed and intelligent defender, Will reads the game exceptionally well, shows great awareness in possession, and has the vision and passing ability to help build attacks from the back.

On the opening day, he organised the defence superbly, helped secure a clean sheet, provided an assist, and deservedly picked up the Parents' Player of the Match award.

Will will be an outstanding addition to the squad, and we're excited to see him continue his development throughout the season.

The lads continued their strong start to the season with an impressive 6-0 victory and a second consecutive clean sheet.

We started exactly where we left off last weekend, taking control of the game after the opening 10 minutes and dictating the tempo throughout. Murphy opened the scoring before adding a second shortly afterwards, putting us firmly in command. Cooper then grabbed his first goal of the season to give us a comfortable lead going into the break.

The second half was slightly scrappier, with a few loose passes disrupting our rhythm. However, the team quickly regained control and continued to create chances. Jones got off the mark for the season before Murphy completed his hat-trick. Davo rounded off the scoring with a superb header, continuing his excellent goalscoring form.

Overall, it was a dominant performance with plenty of positives to take from the game. There are still a few areas for us to improve, but it was another strong display as we build momentum heading into next week's fixture.

We got our league campaign off to the perfect start with a well-earned victory and a clean sheet.

We knew it was going to be a challenge breaking down a well-organised Shincliffe side who sat deep and defended with numbers behind the ball. In the first half, we created a couple of good opportunities, with Worthington coming closest when his effort crashed against the crossbar.

At half-time, we adjusted our shape to help unlock their low block and the change paid off within ten minutes of the restart. Davison marked his league debut in style, finishing confidently to give us the breakthrough.

The goal forced Shincliffe to open up, creating more space for us to attack. Davison continued to impress and doubled both his tally and our lead with another well-taken finish.

Despite creating several more chances, their goalkeeper produced a number of excellent saves to keep the score down.

However, with five minutes remaining, another debutant had his moment. Crawley picked up the ball on the left-hand side and unleashed a stunning 25-yard strike into the top corner to cap off an excellent morning.

A solid all-round team performance saw us begin the season with three points, while Taylor and the defence deserve huge credit for securing a clean sheet.

๐Ÿ† Coaches and Parents POTM - Will Howe ๐Ÿ†

A commanding debut performance from Will Howe earned him the Coaches and Parents' Player of the Match.

Will was demanding throughout, organising those around him and showing real composure on the ball. He led the defence superbly, helping secure a clean sheet while remaining calm and confident when playing out from the back.

To top off an excellent all-round display, Will grab himself an assist.

The wait is over. Our RFYL Premier Division campaign gets underway on Saturday as we travel to face Shincliffe Juniors.

After an impressive pre-season and several new additions to the squad, the group is beginning to take shape and is ready for the challenge ahead.
