The Foundation of Light U17s will be looking for new players to join us for the 2026/27 season.

Depending on interest and numbers, we will be hosting a series of trials ahead of the new season to welcome players at a high level as we continue in the RFYL Premier Divsion.

Itโ€™s the final game of the season this weekend as we make the trip to Washington Hub to face Washington Athletic. ๐ŸŸ

While it hasnโ€™t been the season we had hoped for, this fixture marks an important moment for the lads, their final league game at youth level โšฝ๏ธ

Thereโ€™s a real determination in the group to finish strong, give everything, and leave it all out on the pitch one last time together. A chance to enjoy it, compete, and sign off the season in the right way ๐Ÿ’™

Itโ€™s our penultimate game of the season and our final home fixture as we welcome Peterlee Helford to Downhill.๐ŸŸ

In the reverse fixture, we suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat in a game we felt we could have taken something from. Saturday gives us the perfect opportunity to put that right and get a bit of revenge on home soil.

We travel to Whitburn and Cleadon this Saturday looking to end our run of defeats after what has been a challenging season for a number of reasons.

Back in October, we came out on top in the reverse fixture with a 4-2 victory, and weโ€™ll be hoping for a repeat this weekend.

A big road trip awaits us as we make our longest away journey of the season to face Witton Park in RFYL Prem Division.

We recorded a 6โ€“0 win earlier in the campaign, but the focus now is on producing a strong performance on the road with hope of bringing all 3 points back.
