Ashbrooke took part in the Play on the Pitch Tournament at the Stadium of Light today, what an unforgettable experience.

The players had the opportunity to visit the dressing rooms, walk out through the tunnel with their names announced over the stadium speakers, and play on the same pitch that Dan Ballard and Luke O’Nien have graced.

It was a fantastic day creating special memories and a proud moment for the coaches and parents 🧡⚽️

The sun was shining today as we took on Wearside FC Navy.

Charlie opened the scoring early and was hungry for more, quickly adding his second of the game. Jenson was on fine form, smashing home two excellent goals of his own.

Ollie was on fire throughout the match, putting in an incredible performance and scoring a whopping four goals.

It was a great win for Ashbrooke Athletic and a massive boost for the team. The hard work, teamwork, and confidence shone through today!

Ashbrooke Athletic V Seaham Coast Youth Blues

Today we put in a strong performance but were unlucky to come away without a result against Seaham Coast Youth Blues.

The team started off great, running with the ball and creating a number of promising chances but we found ourselves 1–0 down at half time.

Changes were made at half time to try and turn things around, and Ashbrooke came on for the second half full of energy. They continued to push forward, showing great effort and never giving up, but it just wasn’t our day today and the match finished in a loss for Ashbrooke.

Ashbrooke took part in the PRO-MOTIV8 Super Sunday Tournament—and what a day it turned out to be. With the sun shining, it certainly felt like it was shining on us too.

The team played eight games in total, winning seven and drawing just one. Every match showed determination, teamwork, and real quality, but the final was something else entirely. In a tense, nail-biting finish, Ashbrooke held a 2–1 lead, and in the dying seconds Harrison pulled off an incredible save to secure the victory. The final whistle blew, and we were crowned tournament winners.

Goals across the day came from Jenson, Ollie, Louie, Henry, and Jack, with every player giving their all and playing their socks off from start to finish. Theo and Phoebe were on fire as always.

A special mention goes to Aiden, who showed real grit by battling through a toe injury, after some rest he came back as quick and agile as ever!

A fantastic day all round and a thoroughly deserved win—what a performance from the whole team.

Thanks to Nathaniel and Mark who got the team through each game, sore throats all round, defo have some well deserved beers.

Today Ashbrooke played their second Spring Cup fixture against Richmondshire Pro Player U9 Yellows, securing another impressive victory.

The game got off to a flying start, with Jenson on fine form. He struck twice within the opening ten minutes, immediately putting Ashbrooke on the front foot. Not slowing down, he added another two goals in the following ten minutes to complete a remarkable first half.

Ashbrooke carried that same energy into the second half, showing no signs of easing up. Although Richmondshire managed to get a goal back, it did little to knock Ashbrooke’s confidence with Jenson scoring yet another goal!

As the match drew to a close, Louie clinched a last minute goal, another well earned win for Ashbrooke.

A special mention goes to Henry, who stepped in as goalkeeper and made some brilliant saves—an outstanding effort which earned him a well deserved award from the coaches.

Ashbrooke Athletic kicked off the Spring Cup in style with an exciting and well-earned victory over Hetton Juniors Juve.

The match got off to a flying start, with Louie finding the back of the net just four minutes in to give Ashbrooke an early lead. Hetton came back quickly, equalising only five minutes later, but Louie wasn’t done yet—he struck again putting us back in the lead.

Our determination and attacking intent were clear throughout the first half. Theo and Oliver both added goals giving us the lead as the whistle blew for half time.

The momentum carried into the second half, and Jack added another goal to the scoresheet, rounding off an impressive team performance.

It was a fantastic way to open the Spring Cup, with Ashbrooke Athletic securing a thoroughly deserved win 🧡⚽️

Ashbrooke Athletic V Wearside FC Gold

Ashbrooke Athletic rounded off their final game of the season in style with a fab performance against Wearside FC Gold.

From the first whistle, the team were full of energy — they’d defo had their Weetabix for breakfast.

Ashbrooke started strongly and were unlucky not to take an early lead when a possible goal on the line wasn’t awarded. Despite that setback, it didn’t knock their confidence.

Jenson was on fire, firing home two well-taken goals.

At the other end of the pitch, Harrison was absolutely outstanding. Our little pocket rocket pulled off a string of impressive saves, including a superbly stopped penalty that he made look effortless. Super save.

In defence, Aidan once again cleared the ball when it mattered most 🧡

Mason and Henry, both emerging as great goal scorers, added their names to the scoresheet, firing the ball into the net.

Another win for Ashbrooke, a way to finish the season — a strong team performance, great goals, and brilliant saves. Bring on the Spring Cup! ⚽ 🧡

Ashbrooke Athletic vs Wearside FC Navy

Ashbrooke Athletic faced Wearside FC Navy at Kepier this morning in a fantastic played match.

Both sides came into the game fully charged and ready to go, and it showed from the first touch of the ball as both teams looked to take control.

The breakthrough came in the 18th minute when Jenson produced a cracking finish to fire Ashbrooke into the lead. However, Wearside responded well and managed to turn the game around with two goals of their own, putting us on the back foot.

Louie found the net to level the score before the break, leaving it all square at half time.

The second half brought plenty of chances for Ashbrooke. We pushed forward with but despite our best efforts, we couldn’t quite find the finishing touch to regain the lead.

There was a setback when Harrison was forced off with an injury. Henry stepped up to take over in goal for the remainder of the match and did an amazing job.

Despite the effort and determination shown throughout, the game finished level. Well done Ashbrooke, well played 🧡⚽️.

Ashbrooke Athletic delivered a great performance in their second meeting of the season against Horden Community Welfare Juniors today.

They played their socks off from start to finish, ending in a thoroughly deserved win.
Ashbrooke ran with the ball with confidence and attacked with determination.

Ollie was on fine form as ever, bagging two goals, while Jenson bagged a hat-trick.

Mason, our “pocket rocket” scored yet another goal, continuing his ever growing goal tally for the season.

Harrison put in a brilliant shift in goal helping to keep Ashbrooke firmly in control.

A great team performance resulting in a great win for us today.

Ashbrooke Athletic V Hetton Juniors Juve

The second encounter between Ashbrooke Athletic and Hetton Juniors Juve proved to be just as exciting as the first earlier this season.

Ashbrooke came out strong, taking an early 2-0 lead within the first twenty minutes, with goals from Jenson and Mason. However, Hetton responded quickly, managing to pull level by halftime with two goals of their own.

The second half was a relentless back-and-forth, with Ashbrooke pushing forward once again. Despite another two goals from Jenson and Mason. the effort was not enough to fend off Hetton’s continued pressure, and the game ultimately ended in a defeat for Ashbrooke.

While disappointed with the result, we can’t win them all and will bounce back stronger!
