Hi, I'm Jenna 😙 if youve been to my classes you probably know that I always forget to tell you who I am so here we gooooo.....
Yoga Instructor since 2019, Belly Dance Teacher, Climbing Enthusiast, Gamer, Book Lover, Dog Obsessed Mad Woman, Ex-Weeabo (日本に住んだことがある)
I honestly believe one of the greatest connections to achieve in life and the greatest gift to maintain is the one you have with your own body, and everything else that encompasses it. Your breath, your energy, your senses, your mind, your soul. The very vehicle in which you navigate and store life, emotions, experiences.. until my early 20s i had absolutely 0 conscious awareness of my own body or what I was even putting into it. Everything I am today has come from putting the work in, nothing worth having comes easy.
Each of us is our own walking universe and yet our focus is constantly pulled away to things we don't need and things that dont make us happy. This is why I love Yoga, it feels like an energetic removal of the dust and grime and noise that clouds your vision and stifles your bodys energy, its a homecoming. My two original pulls to yoga was; 'i need my mind to reset so I can figure out who I am and what I want' & 'i want to be strong and flexible.'
Belly Dance has graced me with a connection to my feminine nature and truly embodying the power and privilege of being a woman. This practice celebrates the raw sensuality of the divine feminine through movement and emotion, and allows me to shimmy my hips to KoRn in a way that I can only describe as soul-soothing.
As someone who has suffered with bouts of depression i can say rather confidently that movement has saved my life.
I feel the most alive when I teach, when I dance, when I see my teaching shine in the eyes of my students. It is an honour and a blessing to facilitate these classes and im deeply grateful for those of you who resonate with my classes
Remember that you are an extension of the power that created the universe 🥰
Anyway here's my boy Uncle Iroh dropping points of reflection -
"Its time for you to look inward and begin asking yourself the big questions. Who are you? And what do you want?”
Love you all
