A weekend of what could of been at NKC Championship RD2 at Rowrah. Somehow lost 1.5 kgs overnight after coming off track at 163.5 kgs Fri / Sat to come in underweight for the first time ever in 9 years of karting.

Heat 1 - P1-P2 ( DQ'D underweight)

Heat 2 - P19-P9

Heat 3 - P27-P25 ( up to P17 going onto lap 5 but got smashed off passing a slower driver, one of the challenges of mixed grids.)

B final - P9-P2

A final - P32-P14.

Not the result we were hoping for after being top 4 overall in of all Saturday timed practice sessions but we learn and move on to Whilton Mill next round.

Thanks as always to Dunmail Motor Services , Venator Racing Engines, especially Rhys Hunter for all his help over the weekend. Big thankyou to Louis, Darren, Matty and the rest of the team at LRG Motorsport, set up was on point. 👌🏻

First race of 2025 season under the belt at Cumbria Kart Racing Club, Rowrah for round 1 of the Spring series.

Qualifying - P1
Heat 1 - P1
Heat 2 - P1
Final - P1

Really enjoyed the weekend. We were pressured and pushed hard in both heats and the final by some great drivers so was happy to come away with the win.

Better weekend for round 6 of the National Kart Cup at Warden Law.

We had a good test day Friday and again on Saturday until the rain came in and we called it a day early.

Sunday race day and I made a few mistakes here and there putting myself out of position but made places up every time out.

Heat 3 P12-P11

Final P13-P9

Happy to come away with a top 10 in the A final in my 2nd weekend in seniors after a bit of a disaster weekend last time out at Wigan.

Thanks to the organisers and staff at both NKC and Warden Law KNE for a well ran meeting, Rhys Hunter for the coaching, Dunmail Motor Services, Walsh's Butchers and Venator Racing Engines, Motor was on point 👌🏻

Thankyou to everyone that helped us out over the weekend, especially the 177 rotax mechanic on the dummy grid who hepled with a plug after ours fouled up on the rolling lap in the final. Not the best weekend at Wigan for RD5 of the NKC Championship.

Friday and Saturday went well, had good pace and was looking forward to race day.

Sunday didn't start off too well, starting P11 I had to avoid a couple of crashes on the opening lap dropping me to p28, made some places up to finish P18

Heat 2 was going well, started P16 and was up to P7, the rain came in and I made a few mistakes pushing too hard on slicks on a wet track finished P13

Heat 3 was a non starter as I didn't make it out with an electrical issue so a DNS wasn't ideal.

With the DNS in heat 3 I started P20 in the B final, made a few mistakes and could only manage P10 by the flag.

Disappointed with how the weekend went and expected better but we'll go again in a couple of weeks for the final round at Warden Law.

Thanks to everyone that helped this weekend, had a few issues so grateful to those that pulled us out the 💩

Back to Rowrah last weekend for our first race in senior rotax.

Saturday was a good day for testing the kart, with a new engine, different tyres type and extra weight we made good progress and looked forward to racing.

Sunday race day and happy the rain held off for a dry meeting.

Heat 2 - P3 - P3
Final - P3 - P5

After losing a place off the start i got back into P3 in the final and was going well until I was smashed off the track dropping me to P8, happy to come back through to P5. Even though it wasnt the result we wanted there was still alot of positives to take away from the weekend.

That's our time in juniors finally over. We've been struggling to make weight for the junior class for a while now and been as much as 12kgs over min weight which to anyone that knows about karting it's a massive disadvantage.

We attended the IPKC O-Plate meeting last month with mixed results.

Heat 1 - P5-P2
Heat 2 - P17-P10
Heat 3 - P8-P5

Group final - P1-P6

Main final - P12-P10

Next up was the NKC O-plate meeting at Rowrah.

Time attack - P13
Heat 1 - P18-P2
Heat 2 - P5-P19
Heat 3 - P17-P14
Super heat 1 - P9-P7
Final - P18-P15

Last weekend we done our last meeting in Juniors at RD4 of the NKC at Whilton Mill in our biggest grid to date with 70 drivers entered.

Heat 1 - P14-P11 (P24 after penalties)
Heat 2 - P24-P8
Heat3 - P7-P12
Final - P30-P22

I'm looking forward to the move into seniors at Rowrah next weekend where we have to put lead on to make min weight and not carry the 12kg handicap we've had in juniors.

Last weekend we entered RD4 of The Kart Championship BKC / CKC / JKC at Rowrah.

Friday went well changing setups throughout the day ready for qualifying and heats Saturday.

Saturday we had mixed results, qualify p6 then having that lap deleted for a bumper penalty put us p12 in the heats.

Heat 1 - P12-P8 ( P14 after bumper penalty )

Heat 2 - P12-P5

Sunday we went into super heats based on our results from Saturday

Super Heat 1 - P8-P9 ( recovered well after a first turn crash )

Super Heat 2 - P8-P2

After all the heats it meant we started P5 for the final.

Final - P5-P2

I did get the lead briefly but was pushed wide, it was good racing for the remainder of the final coming home P2.

We have only done 2 rounds in the kart championship finishing P2 both times. We have really enjoyed doing these meetings, they were very well organised, well ran and the staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We look forward to running in this Championship again.
