🏏....And with that the 2026 season comes to an end.

Thanks to all the players, coaches, parents, bar/kitchen, Groundsmen, committee and everyone connected to the club who made 2026 a good one!

Roll on 2027 for our 150th year!🎊

But first, remember winter nets will be starting for juniors in Nov this year and presentation day for U7, U9, U11, U13 is this Saturday 19th Sept.🎊

With only 9 points seperating the two teams, we look forward to a closely contested game.

🏏Weekend round up🏏

Both our 1st and 2nd teams suffered defeat on Saturday.

🏏Our 1st team were asked to field first as Evenwood racked up 242/2. Anth Harding (1/60) & Louis (1/35) took the wickets to fall.

In reply we closed on 180/4 from our 45 overs as Evenwood won by 62 runs. David Nield (63no) hit 7 fours and a six from 92 balls and Michael Kelly (47no) stroked 4 fours from 72 balls in an unbroken 127 run partnership in our reply.

Congratulations to Evenwood who won the Division 2 title with their victory.🎊

🏏Our 2nd's also came up short at North East United, losing by 46 runs.

We bowled the hosts out for 153 from 36.1 overs. Dan Bevan (1/32), Alex (1/37), Lincoln (2/16), Leo (2/6), Scott Davison (3/28) and a run out (Leo) took the wickets to fall.

In reply we were bowled out for 107. Scott Davison (26) hit 2 fours from 73 balls and Hussain Ul Haq (41) hit 3 fours and a six from 57 balls in a 66 run 5th wicket partnership.

Habibi shawarma street eats are back with us at Silksworth during our 1st team game on Saturday between 3-7pm.
