Walking Football Legend announces retirement.

Injury forces Brian Parkinson,one of the founder members and main driving force behind the success of Sunderland Walking Football Club, to hung up his boots at the tender age of 74.

We would all like to thank you for getting us off our backsides twice a week to thoroughly enjoy a game of football.

The A team beat the B temmam 3- 0 but lost a close encounter to Blue Flames green 2 -0. B team were unlucky to lose 2-1against Blue Flames 1.

Alan Davies Memorial Tournament.
£300 raised for Cancer Research

Alan Davies Memorial Tournament.

A squad of nine played in this event today. Alan was one of the founder members of Coxhoe and Durham walkinfg football clubs. All proceeds were donated to Cancer Research.

Despite the rain we had a very enjoyable afternoon. Our hosts at Coxhoe made us very welcome and provided some excellent refreshments.

We won the tournament by beating Coxhoe 3-2 and Durham 4-1.
