Another British 24-Hour is in the books for the team.
After spending the week recovering, we look back on our highlights from another crazy event.
Continuing our strong qualifying performances this year, Luke managed to put the 103 12th on the grid, 3rd in class in torrential conditions.
A dramatic delayed start saw both karts hit difficulties early on. 103 had the pace to win it, but problems saw them clawing back from dead last to fight for the final spot on the podium after 22 hours, just to have a tie rod fail on them, meaning they finished 5th in class, 16th overall. The drivers did a great job keeping the kart out of trouble, it came home almost untouched. A great team effort.
While the inexperienced 104 boys gradually built up confidence, keeping the kart circulating and fighting for 5th in class, 24th overall by the end! A respectable effort from the Clubman team.
We rest up and get ready for the 2nd BPEC double header of the season, Rounds 7&8 at Ellough Park Raceway in 4 weeks' time.
Congratulations to the podium sitters, a shoutout to X Racing for their outright class victory, and a special mention to Red Graphix and Jess Alexander who had a horrific crash whilst leading the race, with a folded kart, they managed to come back and finish 5th overall. Astonishing. All the best on your recovery Jess!
A huge thank you to Apollo Karts and the team, who were flat out all event. Flawless mechanical work. Truly is great to be a part of such an amazing team.
