🎣 A MUCH-NEEDED BASH! 🦈🌅

After the last session being pretty poor, I decided to give it another bash yesterday… and I’m glad I did!

Arrived at the jetty around 6:30am to an absolutely stunning sunrise 🌅. The weather was spot on, so I was feeling confident for a good day on the water 🎣.

The fishing was a little quiet, but I managed 4 tope pups 🦈. Not the biggest haul, but they certainly beat a blank! 💪🎣

🦐 Bait: Prawn, squid & mackerel

Myself and Calum back out on the beaches this week, Sunday we fished local at south shields , quite hard going , swells were a bit big but we managed 6 flounder and a Weaver, flounders were all quite small.
Today we hit one of our favourite beaches in Northumberland , slow start but as soon as it was low the fishing went a bit mad , lots of decent flounder , Dabs were also there , never really caught any Dabs off this beach but we got half a dozen all the same stamp, Calum caught a Brill and I added a few Weavers to the Tally of 16 fish between the two of us , great session on the sand

Has been out landing his first ever turbot on his new match lites

Yesterday I decided to have a little fish at a local beach over high tide. I fished 2hrs up and 2hrs down. I bought my new two limitless match lites and had a go trying to catch a magic spell on the new rods. On the first cast I opted to a two hook flapper using a size 2 limitless Aberdeen hook, 60 lbs rig body and a 20lbs AVENJA Endurance hook snood all used from limitless. Baits used lug worm and Sandell.

First cast sent out not long after I noticed a few nods. I started reeling in and felt some weight on the rig spotted my first Turbot from the shore.

Life can be tough at times but fishing with friends and family can be great for your wellbeing, getting out there in the fresh air and the sound of the surf breaking , having a good laugh with your fishing friends , talking with random strangers who are walking past just interested in what you are fishing for or what you have caught.Whatever your circumstances never give up , get yourself out there join a fishing group , contact your local tackle shop they will point you in the right direction to get you in touch with a group to support with your fishing journey , help is out there ❤️

Little session hunting bullhuss.
Got down to the chosen mark to find the sea a bit rougher than i hoped for. Really hard fishing on the ebb tide with loads of w**d in the water n line looking like a washing line with loads of w**d covering it in minutes.
Managed 1 bite on the ebb tide which i managed to drag the fish 10 yards or so and couldnt reel for the w**d clogging in my tip eye. Had to stop to pluck the w**d off and when i went to reel in i was snaged up with the fish and snapped off.
Persivered on and at low water the wind eased a little and the w**d was not as bad.
Soon had my 2nd bite with resulted in a nice fat little huss. Not the biggest at 3lb 15oz but target achieved. Few casts later n i was in again and this felt a better fish and fought like mad all the way in but this 1 wasnt getting away tipping the scales at 8lb 5oz.
Last cast another good bite which slack lined me and took me into a snag and was not moving and eventually snapped off.
Hard going today fishing rough ground and shallow water but great to catch the target.
Caught on pulley pennel rigs armed with 3/0 ultra xt main hook and 3/0 ultraz pennel hook

Myself and Joe decided to head to Eastbourne to target sole for few hours knowing local (seaford) would be w**ded after yesterdays blow and westerly winds still today.. We managed 3 plaice, Schoolie Bass, Mackerel to lug and Joe finished off last cast with the target and his very first Sole!.. well in captain.. caught using Limitless size 8 aberdeen hooks.
