Have been out on the hounds

Little session after work yesterday.
Got down an hour after low water
1st cast Logan was into a little hound around the 4lb mark. 2nd cast he was hit by a hound that smashed his bait and dropped it while i waa just pulling in balls of w**d.
3rd cast i finally got in on the action with a slightly better fish. After that we struggled with lots of w**d masking baits n rigs.
Then Logan got another little hound and i followed shortly after getting our hopes up they were coming back on and next cast Logan got the fish he wanted. His 1st fouble figure and new PB hound hitting the scales at 11lb 5oz.
We fished on but it went quiet still getting loads of w**d till we were just about to pack up n i got hit and dropped by a hound. Decided to have 1 last cast which resulted in me getting a dog. All the fish we got hit the baits within minutes of casting in. Any longer n the w**d had covered baits. Not a great session but nice to see Logan get his 1st double.

Pulley pennel rigs. I opted for 2/0 ultra xt main with offset ulta pennel.
Logan 2/0 ultra xt main with 2/0 razor claw pennel. He loves them. Not sure if its just cause there red but thats what his big hound on the pennel hook

Bk out this morning. Got down on beach n quite alot already down heard there had only been 1 little smooth hound and a few dogfish caught. First cast my rod got ripped from my rodrest n dragged down the beach. Hit into what felt like a very good fish but i think my line must of rubbed against something sharp and my mainline snapped with the weight of the fish. 3rd cast another good bite and soon i landed a nice double figure hound.
After that the fish seemed to have switch off. Only seen 1 little ray caught and people started packing up. Think the easterly wind killed it.
Slow day but happy with a nice double

Has been out on the hounds and bass

Few hours out this morning braving the wind and rough sea
1st 4 casts just got dragged in by loads of w**d and was about to pack up but then 5th cast the w**d eased off and managed a little hound around 4.5lb. Next cast i got a doggie cast back in and right away got a nice chunky little bass around 2.5lb. The w**d then picked up again with loads of the mayrot w**d clagging my line and couldnt reel in for the stuff. Decided to move up onto the pier see if it was any better. Still alot of w**d but fishable.
I had a brief spell where the hounds came on biggest around 6lb then another doggie before i packed up

went out yesterday had 4 hounds to 8lb 9oz loads of mid 30cm schoolies i lost count lol. + 3 flounder , hounds all came to a pully dongle size 2 octopus beaked really sharp all on crab & all in the mouth. Love using the dongle as only tried it properly this year .the bass were on size 3/0 kamakri hooks with again octopus size 1/0 pennel that also caught the flounders. Also the new 15lb shore Line is very good , ive got Ndura on one reel and the new shore line on the other i cant make my mind up wich is the best lol
