Welcome to Junsui Shotokan Karate Do a family friendly club based in Houghton, Durham. The club adopts a high standard of Karate putting the fundamentals of Karate first. Karate is a martial art which people from all walks of life can try. The club ranges in age from 4 years and beginner to Black Belt. Great juniors class we got through a lot, the cadet leaders and Zach were a super support helping with their groups going through the syllabus. 2nd class we had so much fun we overran a little to get through all that we need to.

Good attendance at both classes tonight. Max, Joel and Anya all had a go at teaching the little tigers in the first half of the first class - they found it challenging but they did really well and all students were really well behaved for them. Great work. White belts then did some punching on the pads with higher grades tidying up shutos.
Seniors looked at a few basics and kata, then higher grades looking at bunkai application with Sensei Andrew while I looked at Heian Shodan. Lots of great effort and input from all tonight, keep it up!

Quieter classes tonight but we concentrated on syllabus and kata for those who attended some good work.

Good classes both worked on syllabus techniques and combinations for next grade and kata to finish.

Good turn out and great work tonight in both classes, although warm the hall was quite cool. 2nd class we had a bit of a challenge for all to have a go at a couple of the 2nd Dan combinations, well done all for trying.

Another just juniors class but 2 good groups working on kata to prepare for gradings. 2nd class good attendance work on basics and kata and focus for max and Anya on 1 step.

Quiet classes tonight but good for all. Our cadet leaders had a group or student each to teach kata all did very well. 2nd class we states together then broke into groups, A few on kata and I took Anya through all the purple belt syllabus. Good work

Everyone I think was ready for the end of school term tonight, overall all did well. A new starter who did really well with sensei Charlotte. 2nd class more serious and some good basics and kata finished with 1 step for green belt and above
