First ever league game for the team on Saturday with a bright and early KO. The boys were excited, tired, nervous but keen to play. The boys gave it there all this morning! Coming away with a loss today 3-2 but the boys took this on the chin and will work onwards and upwards!
We are so proud of the boys with their hard work and determination. their confidence will come soon enough with more experience and training to improve their knowledge. It’s a great confidence boost to win but the more they train and work at it, as long as they try their hardest and enjoy it that’s the main thing as they will improve as the season progresses.
The whole team were excellent, considering it was a brand new experience playing in that environment, especially in the second half, and we really deserved at least a draw. Some of our passing and dribbling were very good and they were a joy to watch. Well done boys! 🙌🏽
Player of the Game:
🏆 Max– From his defending to his tackling! His dribbling was very good, which is what caught the manager of the other teams eye. From my point of view, I thought Max made some excellent tackles as well as then dribbling with the ball. Especially in the second half, as that's what i asked the lads to do at half time, so it was great to see Max take that on board.
