Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) have advised Abbeycroft Leisure that they have taken the decision to transfer the management of Sudbury Sports Centre to a new provider and therefore we will not be managing the facility from the 30th May, however, we are pleased that this appointment will provide a long-term solution for the community.
‌
‌We are communicating this decision as soon as practically possible and in line with Ormiston Academies Trust’s wishes. Any bookings you have made up until the 30th of May will be honoured by ourselves.

‌If you would like more information about the new provider and dates for opening etc, may we suggest you email or call the new provider on: [email protected] or call 0333 102 0303. Unfortunately Abbeycroft Leisure are not in a position to answer any questions regarding future booking arrangements.

We would like to thank you for supporting this facility and we are very grateful for your custom. We've enjoyed managing Sudbury Sports Centre for the last 10 years and being part of the community, we will continue to do so from our Kingfisher Leisure Centre.

Torch Relay: It's starting!

The first major event of Festival of Suffolk starts tomorrow!

To herald the start of The Festival and the celebrations to mark HM the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee a symbolic torch will travel through communities in Suffolk this summer carried by local heroes.

The torch begins its journey tomorrow in Brandon and then passes through 250 towns and villages, a distance of over 550 miles, before reaching its final destination arriving at the Suffolk Show in Ipswich on Wednesday 1st June.

The torch bearers will be transported on community rickshaws. We’re honoured to have these organisations on board making the torch relay accessible to everyone.

The torch itself has been designed and made by Brafe Engineering Limited and they've created this magnificent design full of optimism and symbolising a bright future.

This is very exciting, and we hope that all the towns and villages take the opportunity to welcome the torch as it transits through their community.

Get your walking boots on for guided walks around the picturesque rolling hills of the Peak and for the more adventurous of you give rock climbing ago on one of the famous gritstone edges!
