β¨ MONDAY MEMBER SPOTLIGHT β¨
Then β‘οΈ Now
This is Laura π
Laura started her pole journey back in 2016, which means she is approaching an incredible 10 years of aerial training π₯
Over those 10 years, Laura has followed us through studio moves, floods, lockdowns, and all the challenges that life can throw at you. Through it all, she has remained part of the Pole Position family.
Ten years is a long time to dedicate yourself to any hobby, and like any journey, it won't always have been plain sailing. There will have been ups and downs, periods of motivation and periods where showing up felt harder. But through it all, Laura never gave up. She kept coming back, kept putting the work in, and kept moving forward.
And that resilience is one of the things that makes her such an inspiration to so many others π
What I love most about Laura's journey is that she has always done it her way. She doesn't compare herself to others, she doesn't rush the process, and she doesn't worry about what everyone else is doing. She works to her strengths, trusts the journey, and consistently shows up for herself year after year π₯
And that approach has paid off.
Laura absolutely smashes photoshoots. In fact, when members come into 121 sessions and show us inspiration pictures, more often than not they're showing us photos of Laura π
She has this incredible ability to make every pose look effortless. The second the camera comes out, she switches on this confidence and sass that is just mesmerising to watch. She's naturally photogenic, elegant, strong, flexible, and knows exactly how to tell a story through a photo and video π
But Laura doesn't just shine in front of the camera.
She continues to push herself outside of her comfort zone too. Last year she took on a pole showcase routine, and this year she stepped onto the stage with a hoop routine. For someone who hasn't spent years specialising in hoop, she absolutely smashed it. Watching her perform at the weekend was inspiring and a reminder that growth happens when we challenge ourselves β¨
Laura is also a huge part of our Funky Fridays community. She fully embraces her creative, sensual side and always brings amazing energy to the room. And let's be honest... when those heels go on, Laura owns the space π₯π
More recently, Laura has started attending GI Power too, which is such an exciting addition to her training. With her flexibility already being one of her strengths, building even more strength through weightlifting is only going to enhance her aerial journey further πͺ
And through everything life throws at her, Laura stays in the game. She keeps showing up. She keeps progressing. She keeps inspiring.
What GIJO says:
βLaura is an absolute pleasure to teach. She comes into her one-to-one sessions knowing what she wants to achieve, and together we work on building the strength, conditioning, and technique to get her there.
One of the things I admire most about Laura is her consistency. She trusts the process and understands that progress doesn't happen overnight.
She is an inspiration to so many members, often without even realising it. Her photos are some of the most talked about in the studio, and her showcase performances have shown just how willing she is to step outside her comfort zone and challenge herself.
Laura is strong, determined, creative, and incredibly hardworking. I'm excited to see where the next part of her journey takes her.β π
Show Laura some love below ππ
10 years of showing up, growing, adapting and inspiring others. What an achievement. π₯
We see you. We celebrate you. We're so proud of you.
