𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽! 🏉

Sunday was our second and final Cainscross RFC Minis & Juniors Taster Session of the summer, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along!

And a huge thank you to our coaches and volunteers who gave up their time to make it happen.

It’s been brilliant to welcome so many new faces, see lots of enthusiasm for rugby and, most importantly, have plenty of fun along the way. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘

Following careful consideration of ground conditions nationwide, England Rugby has delayed the start of competitive contact rugby until the week commencing 21st September.

𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘’𝗦 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠𝗦

𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥𝗦 - Our first league fixture is Saturday 26th September, so this delay will not affect our seniors.

𝗠𝗜𝗫𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 - Our Mixed Ability team play touch rugby and train throughout the year, so this change will not affect them.Mixed Ability continues on Mondays from 6pm at Victory Park.

𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦 & 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥𝗦 - Minis & Juniors return for the new season on Sunday 6th September.We'll focus on training throughout September, with no matches planned until October.

As always, the safety of our members comes first. We'll continue to make sure training is safe and appropriate for the pitch conditions.

Recently, St Matthew’s Church got in touch to ask if we could lend a hand after part of the stone boundary wall around Victory Park had collapsed.

So, a team of Cainy volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in, helping to move the fallen stone and make the area safer until the wall can be repaired.

A huge thank you to Adam, Steve, Liz, Nath, Logan, Dave, Conor, Rob, Jonny and Zac for giving up their time to help out.

We’re proud to be part of our local community, and always happy to help when we can.

And a big thank you to Elaine and everyone at St Matthew’s for the lovely message of thanks. It was great to hear that the photos show great teamwork – proof that what we teach on the rugby pitch can be just as important off it!

Thank you for giving up your time and showing what being part of the Cainy community is all about.

We're looking for some new teammates to join Cainscross RFC Minis & Juniors this September.

If your child loves being active, making friends, playing games and having fun, our Rugby Taster Session is the perfect place to start.

No experience is needed and everyone is welcome. Our friendly coaches will make sure every child feels included and has a brilliant time.
