🎅 The Allsorts Tinkley Gate Santa Dash is BACK! 🎄👟

Get ready to bring the festive cheer to the trails! We’re thrilled to announce that entries are officially open for this year’s Allsorts Tinkley Gate Santa Dash on Sunday, 6th December 2026 at the beautiful National Trust Tinkley Gate.

Whether you run, jog, walk, or jingle your way around the scenic 5km off-road route, everyone is welcome—including four-legged festive friends on short leads! 🐾

✨ Festive Attire – Wear It Your Way!

Full Santa suits are completely optional this year. You’re welcome to go all-out in full fancy dress, rock your favourite Christmas jumper, pop on a pair of antlers or a Santa hat over your standard running kit, or simply turn up in your trainers ready for some festive fun.

🏃‍♂️💨 Frampton 10k 2026 – That’s a Wrap! 🏃‍♀️💨

A huge THANK YOU to every single runner who joined us for the Frampton 10k last night! It was a brilliant evening, and despite the warm conditions, you all brought fantastic energy to the course. We hope you had a great run! ☀️

A massive shoutout as well to our incredible marshals, medics, lead and tail bikes, and volunteers. Putting on a safe and smooth event simply wouldn't be possible without your support! 🙌

We are excited to confirm that following today's review, the race is ON for this Monday, July 20th at 7:00 PM!

Race HQ opens at 18:00

The weather is looking great, but it is going to be warm. Here is everything you need to know to stay safe and have a fantastic run:

🌡️ Beat the Heat
The forecast for Monday evening is currently 24°C to 25°C.

1) Pace yourself: It will be warm out there, so listen to your body and adjust your pace accordingly.

2) Pre-hydrate: Start drinking extra water over the weekend. Don't wait until Monday evening to catch up.

3) Carry water: We strongly suggest carrying your own water or hydration system on the course.

4) Water Stations: We’ve introduced recyclable paper-based cups for this race. You can grab them at the 5K mark, 7K mark, and at the finish line.

🍔 Post-Race Catering & Refreshments
Stonehouse Rotary has helped organise some brilliant catering options for after the run, so please bring along cash or payment cards to support them:

☕ Shadow and Steam Coffee Van: Serving hot and cold drinks, refreshments, and much-needed iced lattes.

🍰 Lakefield PTA: Running a brilliant refreshment and cake stall.

🚐 Stonehouse Rotary: Hosting several other local food and drink vans on-site.

🏃‍♂️ FRAMPTON 10K: NEW DATE CONFIRMED! 🏃‍♀️

Following last week's postponement, we are pleased to confirm that we have successfully rescheduled the race!

📅 New Date: Monday, 20th July 2026
⏰ Start Time: 7:00 PM

🎟️ Your Entry & Confirmation
Got a spot? All existing entries have been automatically transferred to the new date. You don’t need to do a thing!

Keep an eye out for an official entry confirmation email arriving shortly from our entry system, Event Track, reflecting the new details.

🔄 Can’t Make the New Date?
As a small community club, we can’t offer direct refunds, but we do have a long waiting list of runners keen to take part! You have two flexible, self-service options:

Transfer to a Friend/Colleague

Transfer to the Waiting List (to pass your spot to the next runner in line)

👉 How to do it: You can easily process either option using the self-service links inside your upcoming Event Track confirmation email.

⚙️ How the Transfer Process Works
Please note that the race committee cannot manually manage these swaps. Everything is handled automatically via Event Track on a strict timeline:

Once you initiate a transfer, the new runner gets an invite.

The new runner has 24 hours to accept, fill out their form, and pay.

Once their payment is processed, Event Track automatically issues the refund for your original place.

⚠️ Deadline & Fees:

The absolute deadline to initiate a transfer is Monday, 13th July at 6:00 PM. (We cannot process any changes after this so we can finalise safety and timing).

There is a £1.00 administration fee applied to transfers to cover new timing chips and system processing.

🏃‍♂️ Frampton 10k Update: Waiting List Reopened! 🏃‍♀️

Missed out on an entry the first time around? We have officially reopened the waiting list!

We will be announcing the confirmed new date very shortly. Once we do, we will be opening up a transfer window for our current entrants. Naturally, some runners won't be able to make the rescheduled date, which means a good number of spaces are highly likely to become available!

📋 How it works: Places will be offered strictly in the order in which you signed up on the waiting list.

🛑 Note for those already listed: If you are already on the waiting list, you are completely safe and do not need to rejoin! You will keep your current place in the queue.

If you aren't on the list yet but still want a shot at a spot on the start line, don't miss out—get your name down now so you're ready when the system starts offering out those transfer spots.

🚨 URGENT: Frampton 10k Postponed Due to Official Extreme Heat Warning 🚨

Following an official Met Office Extreme Heat Warning issued for our area, the race committee and our medical team have held an emergency safety review. With forecast temperatures reaching 29°C–30°C (and a perceived thermal load of 35°C–36°C), it is clear that the risk of severe heat-related illness to our runners, volunteers, and spectators is simply too high to safely manage.

As a community club, the safety of everyone involved must always come first. Therefore, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone this Monday's event.

📅 What Happens Next?
We are actively working to reschedule the race and are in urgent discussions with our partners and local stakeholders to lock in a replacement date as quickly as possible.

Your entry is completely safe. All existing entries will automatically transfer to the new date.

If you cannot make the rescheduled date once announced, don't worry—we will be opening up a transfer window so you can pass your spot over to someone on our waiting list or directly to a friend/colleague.

🚨 IMPORTANT WEATHER & SAFETY UPDATE – FRAMPTON 10K 🚨

We are closely monitoring the extreme weather forecast for the upcoming Frampton 10k. With ambient temperatures predicted to hit 29°C–30°C, the combination of high humidity and direct sun means the "feels like" temperature will be a staggering 35°C to 36°C. You can view the live forecast updates on the BBC Weather for Frampton on Severn (other forecasts are available). Because of these conditions, the event falls into an "Extreme Risk" category under UK Athletics (UKA) safety guidelines.

👉 An important, detailed email has just been sent to all registered competitors. Please check your inbox (and spam folder) to read the full advisory and hot weather running guidance.

🛑 What's Happening Now:
The race committee and our medical provider are holding an extraordinary safety review meeting this afternoon to evaluate if the event can safely go ahead or what adjustments need to be made. Running at race intensity in this heat introduces severe medical risks, and we must ensure our water logistics and medical cover can 100% guarantee your safety.

📅 The Final Decision:
We will make a definitive call on whether the race will be postponed, modified, or cancelled, and we will email all runners with the final decision by Saturday at 6:00 PM. We will also post the update here immediately after.

🏃 Quick Tips if We Do Race:
If the event goes ahead, this is not the day for a Personal Best.

With that 35°C–36°C thermal load, expect your pace to be 30 to 90 seconds slower per mile just to keep your heart rate safe.

Pre-hydrate in the days leading up to the race, and drink to thirst on the course (don't over-drink plain water).

Use the course water stations to douse your head and neck to help cool down.

Wear lightweight, light-colored technical kit, a cap, sports sunglasses, and plenty of SPF 30+ sunscreen.

Listen to your body—if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or nauseous, stop immediately and find a marshal.

A massive thank you to everyone who took part in the Stroud Beer Race last night! The weather was absolutely beautiful, though definitely on the warmer side—you all did an amazing job tackling the course! ☀️

🌲 A Quick Sustainability Update:
As the new Chair of the Race Committee, I’m focused on introducing greener changes to our events. You might have noticed plastic cups last night—we are currently using up our old remaining stock so it doesn’t go to waste, but we are actively moving to renewable sources. In fact, you'll see some of these eco-friendly initiatives kick off at the Frampton 10K next month!
