Been a busy few weeks but I’ve finally had time to sit down,smell the coffee (and actually taste it by having a nice coffee) at Adam Henson’s place at The Cotswold Farm Park

I actually saw Adam yesterday in Cirencester as I’ve met him a few times now, and the view is spectacular with some nice facilities while my client is enjoying the fun ride this morning.

Off to Herefordshire this afternoon with another horse, but just enjoying the sunshine whilst it’s not too hot any more and there’s green grass again, at last!
Will try and do some catch up posts but just to remind my clients and regulars, thst I’ve got to go up to Aberdeenshire at the beginning of October, so if anyone needs anything bringing back down, please get in touch for a shared rate quote (not up sadly as although it’s pony, it’s an endurance stallion, and will be travelling solo).

Finally sat at Addington enjoying a couple of days as a groom for Caroline and Sunny at Trailblazer’s, so some time to send a few posts while Caroline practises her tests!

Just some pics of some recent moves as I’ve not been very good about posting much over the last 12 months since starting my dads house renovation - that’s done now so it’s time to get back in the saddle or in this case, behind the wheel again!

Relaxing for a few days at Trailblazers with Caroline and Sunny.

Warm up day today and although he hasn’t done much since his injury, he qualified so we came for the trip as he hadn’t been to Addington before (it’s been his younger brother the last 2 years), and after a bit of a meltdown in the practice area (he didn’t like the tunes they were playing), pulled himself together to finish overall 7th in the Novice, so a good boy and here’s hoping for a good couple of days today and tomorrow 🙂 x

I haven’t posted for quite some time now as I’d taken a back seat for a bit to finish my dad’s house renovation, which I’m really proud of what we achieved so I apologise for the lack of horsey photos and posts for so so long now but will try and put a few collages up over the coming weeks.

Meantime an early 5am start this morning to beat the traffic and the heat and be down in Llandysul and back before the heat sets in!

Although I have type 2 Euro temperature controlled fans to help with the heat, no one wants to risk the welfare of their horses by being stuck in traffic in the afternoon sun, so it’s a case of very early starts during the heatwave or not working for the rest of the week and being a tourist and taking a break (I’m going fit that option and eating an ice cream or three while it’s too hot to travel)!! 🍦

Enjoy your horses everyone - carry plenty of fluids, water and electrolytes and for those with pink noses and no field shade, plenty of factor 40 sun tan lotion, too!
